When the SNES launched, the Atari 2600 was only 13 years old. When the Xbox 360 was released, the SNES was 14 years old, and it was widely considered “retro.” By that same logic, the 360 is now absolutely old enough to be seen as retro, too.
>It's not about age, it's about style and aesthetic.
Even by that metric, the industry has changed drastically. The jump from the 2600 to the SNES was massive. The jump from the SNES to the 360 was massive. And the difference between gaming then and gaming now is massive. The kinds of games being made, the design of consoles, graphics, and UI, modern systems don’t resemble the 360 era at all.
The Xbox 360 is retro old man.
