In all fairness, stamina is entirely arbitrary based on who inflicts enough damage. One Piece characters can fight for multiple days (see Jinbe fighting Ace) yet still get gassed in the span of an hour (several times with Luffy whenever he jobs to the villain of an arc).

To be fair, it’s hard to gauge his whole off-combat personality using a comedic scene. The player can make him look away and he shakes his head back to his senses (sort of) until he gets drunk. The point of the scene was Augus trying to get Asura to relax and have some bonding time, recalling their time as master and student before everything went to shit. Asura went a bit far with the spring attendant but he was snapped out of it by Augus and pretty quickly after they were ready to brawl. The worst you could say is he’s a perv when drunk.
Aside from that we do have his flashback moments with Durga and baby Mithra, he’s a pretty chill guy there and his moments with Ahria the village girl.

I agree with you but we don't really have any better stamina/endurance feats for either Dante or Clive, especially against someone who's a physical equal with all of their abilities (and Ultima has way more abilities than Vergil).
I also think you kind of have to take the 5 timestamps into account since it paints a very clear idea of Dante's limitations in a way that something like One Piece is a lot more vague with.
Death Battle could maybe say that Dante was chopping down the Qlipoth roots and bonding with Vergil by fighting him for a month but it's clear they weren't going full throttle the entire time.

He did apply for the job that puts him in charge of protecting people by purifying Gohma. I think it really came down to her seeing him as more than just his anger. One of the main reasons that an AW prequel (won’t ever happen though) would be good for is to see more Asura’s personality before the Great Rebirth that got Durga to marry him.

Yeah, that’s why Deus framed Asura for killing the Emperor, since he knows Asura would not stand for or even think about the genocide of all the humans much less the suffering of his daughter. Funny enough, the initial draft during the Chakravartin fight had some 4th wall fuckery where the background Asura and Chakravartin fought in, reflected the real life world. An interview in the Asura’s Wrath Completed Works had the devs talking about some scenes where Asura and Chakravartin ascended to a higher plane of existence to talk in some bar in a different artstyle or some shit. They scrapped it all though and the closest 4th wall thing we got was Chakravartin’s QTEs.

I just found it and it’s pretty weird. I kinda saw what they were going for but at the same time people would get lost. Essentially they wanted to give the audience some breathing room between big episodes and went into some weird meta narrative direction.
