>How do the AI cores come to be?
What do you mean? AI Cores are made by humans, they house the AI of the Worker Drone. The Absolute Solver uses AI as a host. If you're asking how the Solver-flesh cores come to be, like I said The Absolute Solver uses AI as a host and the AI Core houses the AI. The Solver's influence causes eldritch meat and blood to begin to manifest, which is why the internals of drones that are Hosts of the Solver become more organic and their Core becomes a little crab-like creature.
>how does the solver infect a new host like Doll or Uzi? At the end of episode 1 when Uzi's solver first activated I assumed it was because she came into contact with an infected DD when she put her hand in N's mouth since that was the first time she was automatically healed. But they never really explain.
I think you're misunderstanding some things.
Worker Drones = Robots created by Humans
AI = Artificial Intelligence, created by Humans and put in the Worker Drones
The Absolute Solver (Solver of The Absolute Fabric) = Eldritch entity that manifests in AI, uses AI as a host to act in the universe
At the beginning of Episode 5, we see a Worker Drone that Tessa would later find, dig up and name Cyn wake up in a dump of dead Drones as a Zombie Drone with a message on their visor. This message is from The Absolute Solver asking to be let in. In the timeline this is the first time we see The Solver manifest in the world of MD, and from this point on it took Cyn as its main host
Hosts like Uzi and Doll are Hosts because they inherited it from their mothers Nori (Subject 002) and Yeva (Subject 048) who were test subjects in Cabin Fever on Copper 9. Cabin Fever were studying The Absolute Solver and trying to figure out a way to stop the entity, developing the Crucifix Patch as a way to excorcize it from a Host.
Nori and Yeva can not be possessed because they were hit with the Patch Crucifix but they passed AbsoluteSolver onto the AI of their daughters.
