>Using a smug name like this feels way more angsty, the consistent "regular name" is a death blow that registers "I don't see you as a parent."
Eh, a name like "birthgiver" has some sting to it that just using their regular name doesn't have, while also implying you don't consider them a real parent.
This chick I knew in high school wouldn't call her dad "dad" or even call him by his name. She called him "sperm donor" even though her parents were married, cause he couldn't parent worth shit and generally deserved all the anger directed at him. Guy should've never had kids.
Maladjusted people are out here having kids, phoning in their parenting responsibilities for 18-22 years, and then going all Pikachu Face.jpg when their adult kids can't stand them.
Shit ain't rocket science, and it's not unique to "muh millennuhlz". My old man (born 1951) hated his own dad more than anyone else on this earth by an extremely wide margin. Turns out shitty parents have always existed, whoda thunk?
