It sounds more of the same for me. And again this thing from season 2 where they all say they're so sorry and should have thought about the others' feelings in the lovey dovey hugging scene.
Rather, Id have Lynn teasing her so much, others find out at school, and when she sees Lucy is really affected by it, Lynn gets the picture of her being exactly like the kids making her little sis so hurt.
Obviously Lynn steps in and stops the teasing, in a way, she lets it clear whoever teases her sister, even if it's for a super girly thing like ponies, they'll have to deal with her older sister and her two friends on her fists.
Episode ends with Lynn apologizing and saying she still can't stand pony princesses but she won't give Lucy a hard time about it again (maybe a little sometimes), and won't let anyone do it either.
In future episodes, Lynn might take a like for a few cool characters in Lucy's books.
