Like Blitzo and Fizz, she isn’t excused for her bad behavior. We also didn’t know much about Fizz and only saw him as a big jerk in season 1. Season 2 was when Fizz was given more likable moments, and Striker had to stay mean and mysterious.

Eve is different. We never see anyone abusing her or implications of it. She’s cold to everyone and everything, even to Adam, taking her days completely alone (not even caring for a single child or person). She isn’t emotional about anything that makes you curious about how weirdly she treats certain characters (as Stolas is clearly a punching bag for how much Stella despises her brother, which Striker also does since that creep might also be his former abuser). Not even a sense of weakness.
With Stella, you would see her at least speak with Striker and Octavia time-for-time, and see how she at least supplies them with her wealth in their living spaces. Eve provides for no one but herself.
