these threads are dead as fuck these days, so let's try to get some discussions going. would be fantastic if we could get some writing up in here too.

What makes for a great pred? Appearance and personality wise?

I love gyarus and bimbos (pretty obvious), overall I love assertive, bratty, young girls who know what they want and aren't afraid to take it, shamelessly and unapologetically. But they have to have a sweet, easygoing side too, that you might get to experience if you're lucky - otherwise they get too one-dimensional, if they're just 100% uncaring eating machines, with no regard for family or friends or lovers or significant others. They have to be conventionally attractive, even downright beautiful (what a waste of life if some 6/10 or worse goes around turning people into soup), but with the (visual) sluttiness factor turned up high - and that goes hand in hand with their diet blessing them with big tits and fat asses, which they proudly show off.

I'm kind of more interested in *why* the threads are so dead. Is 4chan simply superseded by the new trending dashboard and popular search on the portal? Is the absence of the schizo, who hasn't been here in months, all it takes for the thread to dry up? Is vore art simply stagnant after 20 years of drawing the same shit over and over and our artists are too brainrotted by algorithms and media illiteracy that they're unable to make interesting new material to talk about?

Personally I use the /trash/ vore threads way more than the /d/ one. Sure, there's furry and male pred there, but it doesn't really bother me, and there's never any downtime or lack of consistent posting like there is here. It all depends on the belly. You have to presume the pred is gifted with hyper mobility/elasticity and the deference is strength is enough that they won't get injured at all during the whole process,

I would chock it up to that year or two long phase of thread being constantly patrolled by schizos who just so happened to have beef with most popular modern artists.

Have you considered just making them yourself? If you're already down to ERP with an AI, I presume you at least vaguely know how to write unless you're letting it do all the work, and for me at least I've probably got several times more cards I've made just for myself rather than anything I downloaded from elsewhere. This is aside from the fact that nothing is stopping you from grabbing a normal card, changing a few things like the starter, and repurposing it for vore either if making your own from scratch is too much trouble.

My issue with making cards is that I get a pretty clear idea as I write them of how I want the entire RP to go, and at that point I prefer just writing it out as a story instead of trying to finagle the AI into doing exactly what I want it to. I still got a pretty good idea of where I want things to go with predefined cards, but at least there it's a 2-5 minute investment to get started rather than 20-50, and having the character and intro written by someone else adds variety. AI is going to be slop either way, so I prefer quantity over quality for quick 10-20 response RPs.

In that case, I'll reiterate the latter option of using a 'normal' character card of someone you feel is prey-coded and repurposing it for vore shenanigans. AIslop in my experience doesn't really need to be told what vore is to begin with anyway, so once you have some Cute Edible Character and their personality mostly pre-written by someone else it should work as-is. And the only thing to change is maybe the intro for whatever setting you have in mind, which really shouldn't be taking you 20-50 minutes to do, I think.
Unless you're some kind of weirdo who needs a Casual Vore Setting/world specifically, but at that point attaching a reusable lorebook to any characters you want would serve you better than anything in the character card specifically.

I have done that a couple of times, but I'm generally looking for unique scenarios rather than unique characters. Using a regular card there is only so many ways it can really play out. It has to be a user-initiated "convince them that this is a good idea" or something more forceful. I'm not saying there's no value in that, but I've been there done that. Maybe there are more creative options, but it's ultimately you doing the heavy lifting to make it work. If there was some pre-defined scenario with a character that was actively trying to convince the user to eat them, that would be interesting without requiring much guiding from my side. I could just load up one of the user personas and play it out, see where it naturally goes. Of course, now that I've written out that idea I could go looking for some fitting card, bolt that desire onto it and adapt the intro to initiate that behavior, but I'd still say that's in the 10-20 minute range when taking into account having to find a fitting card/scenario to adapt and in the end it's still an idea that I had myself, not one that I found from someone else and got to experience. If there exists a zip with a dozen cool pred-pov cards then great. If not, I'll survive.

I still feel like it's easier for you to do than making one from scratch, and as far as I know there really is an intense lack of prey-coded vore cards to begin with rather than unga bunga preds. Sizeplay wise there's plenty of cute micro girl ones at least, but otherwise, yeah. I've already started writing it, but it's basically an RPG-ish setting. The main character (reader's PoV) defeats a really powerful boss, being the last one standing of them all. His teammates are stored on his person somehow. He returns to his camp, then gets eaten by a low level scrub who just so happened to be robbing it because it seemed deserted. She then digests all the teammates (MC stays alive for basically the whole duration of the story due to some potion or another asspull) and grows increasingly powerful off of it. Since everyone involved was a really high level player, things quickly spiral out of control. By the end she basically becomes omnipotent and eats the world.
If you have any suggestions, I would really appreciate some. I am open to switching things up if you have any ideas I'd like since I'm still quite early in the writing process.

There's a difference in that standard vore hand waving involves physically displaying what's happening, the preds throat can fit a person. It might not be explained why that can happen, but we are immediately invited to a fact of that reality, the throat can open big. Mass vore pics usually don't even bother displaying that, there's a gap in events that can't be reasoned natively.

Logically speaking, preds would be immobilized after swallowing a single person whole, maybe two if they're strong enough, but you rarely see it portrayed as such. Unlike other expansion fetishes preds are nearly never concerned with their own range of motion being limited by their growing size. They just inexplicably keep the ability to chase down and swallow anyone they encounter, regardless of how full they already are. But I really like it when artists do acknowledge this and draw preds that get full, need to find hidden places to digest (>>11349415 is a great example), and have more limits in general. Makes the whole process feel a lot more enticing.

3/10. Most of the decent stuff was on pixiv, as usual, the asian countries hold off on releases for 8/8 more than the westerners. AIM54C cooked but he always cooks no matter the day. RSG and Drao were ok but nothing special. LTAF was fine, don't know what it's fanart of. That catboymech comic is pretty decent too.

It does feel like a lot of western artists have fallen off recently. Either pumping out low effort sketches for money, or drawing the most chronically online dogshit for some tiny social circlejerk. Brainrot culture catching up with us, maybe. It's a bummer.

I don't understand a lot of artist in general. Going back to thefortniteCEO, they get uppity if you even make an edit of their work, like who cares. Along with a lot of artist having the most trivial rules when getting commissions, why are some so protective of their OCs? Said artist could have drawn a slew of characters from other artists or large IPs and would get pissed if they were prevented from drawing what they wanted to draw, but when it comes to people enjoying the stuff they make, they have to extinguish any passionate fans of theirs and other artist will respect such hypocrisy.
