In winter Dickies work pants usually black or duck brown. With some flannel sleep pants under them if its real cold. In the summer wrangler riggs pants in black or khaki because they are thinner and breathe better in the extreme heat.

T-shirts, mostly from 6 dollar t's. And a hoodie sweatshirt or two if its cold.

Help!

Any suggestions on work boots for semi outdoor in places with a lot of snow? I'm having a hard time finding something that's waterproof and comfortable enough for standing on concrete most of the day (no giant wellingtons please). Also low enough that driving is still comfortable as well.

Do yourself a favor, and get a couple pairs of BDU pants. Bonus pointsif you can find them in the classic woodland or chocolate chip patterns. You got extra pockets, ripstop fabric, a patern that hides stains, and even extra straps to adjust the fit. I had a pair that i wore for like 10 years before the crotch finally ripped. 100% the best work pants I've ever worn.

>dickies. have never blown a pair out
I have, but I'm real hard on pants. I burn the stitching out welding and grinding and then sometimes the crotch seam will rip. I'll re-stitch that one, and then the thigh area will get thin and tear. Honestly they're still pretty dang good for the money. I'm the guy above that wears them in the winter and then switches to the Wrangler Riggs in the summertime because it seems they breathe a bit better so I don't get swamp ass as badly.

Motorcycle pants (Cargos made from highly abrasion resistant fabric, chinos from the same stuff when I have to look presentable), t-shirt, denim shirt if it's cold, company-issued steeltoes.
I don't do much physical work, though. 99% is calculating stuff, checking that the tradies are doing their job properly (they often do not...) and making adjustements on the machines' software. So while I'm working in the same places, I can avoid the worst jobs.

volcanologists collect lava samples to get an idea of what's going on inside the volcano.
for example, if the past 30 years of eruptions have been generally the same mineral composition, and then a more recent eruption is different, that might tell us that there's a new and different magma pocket feeding the volcano.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4vTo2STKKw

same type of gear is also used in industrial forge settings where there's a risk of splashing metal or hot water.

Thorogood & Roundhouse

First pair of Thorogoods, 5 weeks in. Break-in was rough; bruised ankles. they're amazing now. mink oiled them last night, boot shop did it for me the day of purchase.

Roundhouse double-knee duck work pants. repaired outer knees with leather patches. Going on 4 years with this pair. they're pretty worn out. having to debate further repair VS. scrapping for material to start patching & repairing other pairs I own. the primary issue is at the top of the double knee, where it becomes a single layer. unsure if the fabric can withstand/support a repair stitch without just ripping through during wear.

Black slacks my company provides. Sturdy as I accidentally caught the end of metal strapping once and made a tear. I would have needed stitches otherwise.

As for tops, it looks like >>2909817 but all day glow yellow for extremely high vis. The company hasnt given me short sleeve variants like when I was first hired a few years ago, so I wear a shirt with the company branding. It's too fucking hot to wear long-sleeve anything for 3 months.
