As stated, im trynna build a almost 1 to 1 scale replica of a Bristol Bloodhound. I got all smaller details sorted but after 2 months snooping around hardware stores, i still cannot find any PVC or metal pipes that are atleast a foot in diameter and atleast 10ft long. any ideas where i can source this part?

what about concrete forming tubes? it's cardboard but it is meant to handle some moisture and can be painted easily.

Have you considered 2x 5ft pipes? You can collar on the inside of the pipe and (assuming you're doing the big mofo in the middle) replicate the seam
Got pics of progress so far?

Sheet metal of your choosing. Sheet metal rollers. Roll as many sections as you need for the required length. Solder, braze or weld the seams and fit the sections to each other accordingly. This might even be relatively close to how missile skins are actually constructed.

It is exactly how real missiles are built, it's called monocoque construction.
The one thing this diagram doesn't show is that you mount L-shaped brackets around the rim of the bulkheads, and the skin attaches to them by fasteners, like rivets.

* monocoque isn't used for booster rockets though because of the high internal pressure. They're thicker metal tubes either welded up from flat or drilled out from round metal stock on a lathe depending on size

Yeah, I thought so. My initial thoughts was I'd just fold all 4 edges in, which would be a bit of work regarsing the eound edges but it would automatically form the butzlts for riveting, soldering or whatever. But aparently OP for some rrason cant even pop rivet or wood screw, only glue. Well I guess if OP is careful with the prep and has a number of clamps OP might get away with glueing the coaxial and radial seals.
Then again if I was OP id solder and pop rivet the thing together.

Depending on where you are in the world, telecom ducts underneath highways come in galvanized steel sections of about 6” to 1 foot diameter and in ten foot sections

You should probably learn to weld if you plan on custom fabricating a big metal piece like this. It's not that hard to do the kind of shitty welding this requires. Not like it's structural.

My guess is that it could hit a ground target, but it would be an unnecessarily costly way of doing it.
You probably need better guidance and a faster missile to hit a moving air target in 3D versus a moving but slower ground target in (essentially) 2D.
It'd be like getting your alcoholic uncle a bottle of fine aged wine. It still works but what a waste...

you don't make SAM missiles from pipe idiot, and those aren't missiles, they are unguided terror weapons. they aren't aimed, and have no control or guidance so not a missile.

What part of the world are you located in? Any agricultural pipe places around you? They should stock pvc in larger diameters.
