Ugly modern style shit

>>2934046
Overgrown with hedera to look old but the roof gives away the cheap low quality build

>>2934044
Not a mansion, it’s a fortified village. Beautiful design, would be prohibitely expensive to build nowadays

>>2934048
Beautiful Swiss actual castle

I've been watching a lot of Arvin Haddad videos over the past few days and it's funny to see how rich people can fuck up so bad in building their mansions. It sounds silly to say, but some of these houses they are trying to sell for like 30 million are only fit for demolition.

A lot of rich people have no taste. They can buy a big house, but not design it or decorate it properly.

Just going full stone construction with a decent overall size is enough for me desu
I hate too open of floorplans for living areas, but entertaining spaces can be larger obv

Easy solution. Just don't design or decorate it at all. Just built a giant fish tank: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Njj9zpxXdw

Which mansion formats best lend themselves to starting as a modest house and then gradually expanding with new wings as dictated by growing resources and needs while still keeping a harmonious aesthetic? The Chinese sānhΓ©yuΓ n (δΈ‰εˆι™’) and sΓ¬hΓ©yuΓ n (ε››εˆι™’) styles of three- and four-wing courtyard homes look like they'd fit the bill. I'm pretty sure I've seen similar layouts for occidental structures but they were for larger fortified settlements rather than a single family's home so I would assume there's some tradition somewhere of a miniaturized version of that.
