Almost everything you breathe or touch in construction is bad for you, but nobody seems to care because it costs more and takes longer to do it right. And that's why all the old guys are basically crippled and can't breathe or stand up straight

i personally like to get the most from my fume experience. thats why i choose 309ss self shielded fluxcore. a bouquet of aromas to stimulate the senses

I got vaporized coolant and microscopic aluminum particles to deal with, I don't need the welder's fumes, too. My favorite was when they decided wd-40 made a good anti-spatter coating.

Im just a hobbyist welder but I cringe when I see people with their nose right up close to the puddle. Back your head away from the bead, you will be able to see well enough and probably get far fewer fumes.
