Why did no one here tell me orbital sanders were really op at sanding walls instead of sanding manually like a retard? Man, it does it 10 times faster.
we assumed you weren't so stupid that you thought sanding large areas by hand was easier than using a power tool. we'll be sure to treat you like the absolute retard you are in the future.

One way to dampen vibes is what the Air Force used to do to IFF transceiver backplane connectors. They bridged the card and the socket (which looked like a long ISA socket) with a fat blob of RTV.
RTV also peels right off which I often use to my advantage and would try in that case. Blobs unlike running beads are easy to pull off cleanly with needlenose pliers.

You just have to keep in mind to fairly regularly (like at least once a week?) blow air all over it and clean off the plaster dust, especially in the corded brushed models, and especially around the brushes and motor. That fucking dust, even with shop-vac hooked up, kills these things way faster than their lifespans would otherwise be.
