Real. I fucking hated HVAC. 70-80 hour work weeks, coworkers constantly trying to get me to break up with my (then) gf because "we're a family and girlfriends are a distraction from your job", dealing with gen Xer coworkers who peaked in highschool constantly trying to make you look like a fool or blaming you for their mistakes to make themselves look better, the heat strokes, working in attics that have like 3 attics and 2 roofs in them because of shitty grandfathered building code, ECT. My advice? Unless you're genuinely ok with no-lifing or are looking to one day own your own HVAC tech company, it's seriously not worth it. I did it for 2 years and ended up having a heart attack on the job. Coworker told me to "quit being a pussy" because 3 other coworkers had heart attacks in that month alone and they're "fine". After that, I got in my car, turned in my company uniforms, told the boss to go fuck himself, and left. Never looked back and honestly best decision I made. I'd probably be dead if I continued down that path.
