Tradie Question
How does something like being a Diesel Tech compare to being an electrician or other trades?

Who's going to post the second video where a differently colored van hits the same pole and you can still see the oil stain from the first one

I saw a job ad last week offering $100-$250k/y for a HD diesel fitter. Likely underground work.

Looks like it needed an oil change anyway

Don’t know if there’s many unions for diesel techs like sparkies.

It varies though. Diesel tech is better than automotive tech. You’re going to get more greasy than being an electrician. Less climbing on roofs as a diesel tech which is cool. If you’re doing on road diesel, having a CDL along with it will put you in high demand, but good electricians are in demand as well.

I’d take sparky over diesel tech, although field diesel tech would be sort of cool. Passed up a diesel tech job for Waste Management because hours were bullshit, now I’m hoping picrel doesn’t fry because that’s a lot of amps @460V.
