Working on my friend's mountain bike and he bought a used set of Formula Cura hydro brakes, but the dumbass that he bought them from clipped the hose at the nozzle. Anyone got any tips for getting this shit out of here?

Take a grinder or file and cut through the ferrule on the red line. Flip it over and do another cut on the other side. Remove ferrule and then the hose will come off. You will have to have a new hose crimped onto the fitting with a new ferrule.

Aren’t those threaded couplings instead of ferrules

There should be a nut which can be unscrewed from the lever to pull the hose off. Looks like you disassembled the wrong part of the lever.

so you are trying to save 0.30 cents so you do not have to buy a new one? Just buy 10 and extra hose. Keep the brakes working properly, its cheap compared to hospital bills.
