Tools for roof job
So looks like I might have agreed to replace a garage roof, similar to pic related. Likely in the spring. What tools do I need?

I was thinking of buying the Dewalt cordless roof nail gun.
We have one of those roofing nail magnets for cleanup along with my dad's wood working stuff. Not sure what the best tool is for removing shingles and tar paper.

Your don't need to spend 500 bucks on a nailer you'll never use again

The pros use a shovel like "ripper" tool.

Depending on your location it might be okay to put new shingles on top of the old ones

It's also common to put a new metal roof on top of the shingles. Would be way faster and easier than shingles if you get the panels pre-cut at the shop.

Thanks, dude even had the same Dewalt nailer. I like his angled puller. I'll have to find that.

I think it is this one. Appears to be discontinued. RM- 350920, Red Ripper, D-Handle

Hard to find that. Image search didn't want to work because the paint color at the end was stripped off.
