I'm redoing the counter top in my bathroom. I got a nice marble top for $50 on clearance a while back. Of course the hot water line had a slow leak and was blue with corrosion. Of course the new sink doesn't fit the old drain pipe. Of course the clearance faucet I bought isn't wide spaced so it doesn't fit the counter.
Hell is the devil giving you a list of pipe fittings and sending you to Lowes. You'll search and search maybe even find the part you need but it will be outside the bag with no barcode. I overheard a man say he was at home depot and it was even worse. Better yet they dont even have the drain fitting I need so I have to rig it with rubber clamp fitting like fool.

Do what I started doing every time any kind of sink project comes up - buy a snappy trap kit. Have never encountered a drain problem their goodie bag doesn't solve. I'm guessing that house was plumbed in either the 60s or 70s judging from how retardedly high they decided to put your drain on the wall which means it's gonna be slow as fuck and barely any room for a proper p trap.

you should go to an actual plumbing store if you want to find the parts that fit.
