how to turn this into shower/tub?

I'm thinking kwik and dirty would be hang a loop from ceiling and hand curtains, but it guessing the tub is all sloped so it would be hard to just step out onto floor unless you were about 6'8".

so figure on ripping the fucker out???

PS-I guess I could hang combo shower curtain rods and grab handles, and clothes dryer hangers.

Yeah, probably that. Remember the crippled villain's RR car that had drop down grab handles all over the ceiling?

Are you trying to imply that nobody has been able to use the bathtub up until now because there was no way to get out of it? Or that adding a shower head and a curtain somehow changes how you get in and out of it?

I have a deep tub with a sill outside between the width of the two sides of OPs tub. 9-10" plus the actual tub sill. I'm 6'0" and can more easily step floor to tub than tub to floor because the height difference. In practice I made a hard foam pad level with the tub rail and sit down on the sill pad then swing my feet over one at a time. It's seriously pretty ass and if I was less able or shorter I'd be fucked.

Subtle kek. The tasteful opacity of it.

Guess I'd have to frame a short wall to cover the end, but I guess that would be nice place to allow access to plumbing. Put doors on the wall and just stack shit next to exposed pipes. or fuck the doors.

To keep the water in you'd have to pull the curtain iside the tub, and that's not a nice way to shower. Option 2 is better but that layout just doesn't look right to me. I'd redo the whole bathroom (sorry).

gonna probably have water intrusion issues around the tub, water will be in much larger quanities than mild tub spill over and there's nowhere for it to go except through the tile and onto floor
unlesss >>2944485, but you'd have to run the curtain around the entire tub which is quite confining

will have to demo all that floor and wall to put a drain and valve there

the least invasive and best result would be to demo out that tub and it's frame. you will then have a drain and water lines exposed and available
you can build a new wall 60" off the left wall, run your water lines in there for a shower or tub/shower valve
then you can tile a pan with drain in current location
or you can move the drain for a tub drop in.
fiberglass insert walls would save you have to redo drywall with durarock and tile

so to summarize, easiest plan:
>demo existing
>build wall 60" off
>move water lines into wall for valve
>move drain for drop in tub location
>no floor repair necessary
>install fiberglass walls
>trim out, wa la
the exception to 'not repairing anything' is likely there's no tile under current tub, so there will be exposed concrete anywhere the new tub doesn't cover
