Tf is going on with this carpet??
I'm considering renovating a house, but before, i gotta know what root cause issues exist.

It's probably moisture/humidity related but tf is going on with this carpet?

I don't think there's pipes underneath...

That's probably where the previous occupant's teenage son was jacking off when he was checking out /cm/ or /fa/.

Likely damage from a kitchen flood (looks like it starts from there and rolls downhill towards the cameraman). WTF is up with the cutout in the floor?

looks like dirt easily move around by several water intrusions. I would 100% be pulling up every corner to see what is going on underneath because that could be surface shit or totally warped hardwood or even rotted subfloor.

You'll have to pull the carpet up to know if it's just damage to the carpet or to the subfloor as well.

Definitely water damage.

Looks like a $200,000 house to me. Probably bank owned and occupied.

You'd have to hire an electrician and HVAC if you want that minisplit wiring concealed.

Sooner or later it will be permits and inspector too. I think the minis have some ugly lines on the exterior of the house. Maybe you'll need a painter to caulk all the new holes.
