i ripped some coating off of my oven steel accidentally by putting clear tape on it and pulling it off.
how do i fix this? should i just tape the entire thing so its less obvious?

remove all of it (not with tape) and reapply paint suitable for ovens

that's just clearcoat
clearcoat it again or ignore it, as it will inevitably rub off again
