we need cast iron and cast steel (alloy and tool steel) foundries that use wooden molds and can handle 10+ ton castings but also don't turn down smaller jobs, basically a job shop for casting
we need a giant foundry in every town bigger than 10k people, and the jobs in these foundries need to be plentiful and well paying to attract whites
we need job shop forges that can work ingots from the mills into huge shapes for giant infrastructure projects, bridges and machines and skyscrapers, and we need these in all those same towns
we need roads made of cast steel plate 12" thick and cars made with heavy forged frames capable of 30 ton GVWRs, we need to get rid of pickups and put a pintle hitch or train coupler on anything that moves
