Previous home owners built a small ball court. I dont know what to do with this. I already have an elevated wood deck and small 2 car garage.

Options:
20x20 pole barn ontop
Massive patio area
Keep as sports court
Something else???

I am just not sure what would neat to have.
Anonymous No.2947145 [Report]
20x20 pole barn or enclosed carport/shed. Use it as a garden shed for mowers, other yard equipment. Have a place to park motorcycles and store some stuff you don't want filling up your garage.

> Budget?
budget??
Buys expensive new house, big well-kept back yard, has a huge sports pad like you find in parks in the back…no fences…
Like this rich motherfucker has a budget.

To be fair, I've seen plenty of similar properties in run down neighborhoods. That's why I asked.

Idk about budget. Its hot humid summers and cold winter with a week or 2 of snow.

You could build a sun room with reclaimed windows for recreational stuff like exercise equipment or arcade games. It could also be a greenhouse or workshop. Depends on your hobbies and whether you have kids.

...and you don't have to cover the entire slab either. It would keep the cost down somewhat.

Cut down that pole. Sports are gay.

If you can get a car there, looks like a perfect spot to work on it and get oil, coolant, and transmission fluid everywhere.

why don't you just fucking leave it alone until you have an actual need for it? it's a nice area as is and you'll just have to tear out whatever shitty things diy imagines for you to give your wife's kids a place to play.

Seems to be wood right? Advertise it for free on your local classified. They must remove it. Do nothing but watch from your deck while drinking beer. If they do a good job of removing it, offer them a beer too, then tell them to fuck off because you're busy drinking beer.

Tear down hoop, make a roofed patio.
Could be a grilling deck.
Could be a normal hang out zone with patio furniture and umbrellas.
Could be the base for a greenhouse.
Could be a walk through shed.
Could be a Cat-io or you can string up nets and make an Aviary.

You got a lot of options, m8. Just pick whatever you want. It's your yard.

To add to this:
>A she-shed if you have a wife.
>A clubhouse if you have kids.
>Just a regular man-cave for you and the boys.
>A machine shed.
>A woodwork shop.
>A small car/auto repair garage.
>A small brewery building.
>A deck for Cornhole or other yard games.

The possibilites are pretty big for you, since you seem to be well off enough.

Whats your city's laws on raising animals?
You could build a coop or cage, and raise ducks, hens, Guineafowl, whatever.

budget? I would do an outdoor kitchen/living room. grey are two walls, red is existing hoop to be removed. not to scale. you would need a chimney and an exhaust hood. it would probably be ~100k$ to build, depending on finishes.

You could use it as the base for a pool, sauna, greenhouse, another shed.

But things like this, they're often liabilities rather than assets. By the time you've found something to do with it you'll have been working around it for ten years. It's a huge cement shit.

Basketball is kind of ghetto, though I guess you could use it as a reselling point if you don't plan to stay. Someone can be on your property when you aren't home and the ball slams echo and bother neighbors.

>I would do an outdoor kitchen/living room.
This is what I would do. Maybe add a nice screened in, kind of outdoor area, assuming you don't have anywhere already on the property to go kitcheny. Consider a fireplace, ceiling fans and proper top on it. Is there a view? If not, decorative rock wall.

Workshop.
They develop as your interests do. The hardest part for most people is getting the space. You already have the slab.
Anonymous No.2948078 [Report]
>>2947982
I like the idea of a screened in porch or patio. Hell, even a "tiny home" rental suite or music man cave escape area. Could even be a sweet hot tub area with custom outdoor TV with privacy walls. Could even make a sweet shed to store stuff. Could even be a raised garden if you build the boxes and screened tops to go over top of the boxes.

>Gas grill
Charcoal/wood grill and a small gas range. Smoking capability is really nice, too. Maybe even a powerful wok burner if you're into doing stir fry.

Grilling with gas is meh tier.
