WTF you think about starting something like this as a Okie/Hillbilly slumlord?

I'm think about a semi-retirement home with some acreage outside Tulsa or maybe somewhere in AR/TN/KY or...???

I'm looking for a place with a couple acres or more, but most importantly I want it next to bigger Open Spaces that would be defacto mine. :)

I think I could do something similar, but I'd be more like 30mins to city instead of an hour.

I don't know shit about wells, septic or running power lines and meters, or even rural trash pick up.

What problems would their be, besides Hicks dumping motor oil on the ground or into the septic? I'm thinking I'd get a place with nice big garage or build one (I'm an old do it all carpenter) and that would be part if the amenities to short term rent an equiped garage.

I'm thinking RV Park wouldn't have the same Legal Drama and pitfalls as real LL dealing with Squatter's Rights, but not really sure.

If nothing else, maybe I'd start off with AirBnB type listing for just one RV hookup off existing house water, elec and septic, since I'd be gone frequently and wouldn't mind having another set of eyes and someone else's little Yap Dog on site.

I've done Security where we call the tow company and have some poor slob's shit towed, and been Security on 'stand by' when a manager calls the tow company at apts in the Ghetto.

IMO it might be a problem if I "evict" some Bubba, so he parks his shit maybe just outside of my frontage 50yrds down the road, and starts dumping sewage and getting water and even electricity form his Bubba Buddies still in park, and suddenly I've got a rebellion on my hands.

Now that you mention it, I notice the road shoulder at my link is all freshly plowed soft looking dirt, for no apparent reason, out in middle of nowhere. Maybe that is to stop Bubbas from freeloading???

If I got a house with "city" sewer but its Okie County, but with an extra acre or so, would I be able to add lines for RVs with maybe just a Building Permit, a shovel and some pipes? Would they want a few more shekels for about 5 RV hookups?

also worrying about what happens on the county road easment/shoulder outside your property is fucking stupid as hell, bubba is going to blackwater your office, the site, or whatever else on your property or squat or tear shit up in the middle of the night. people doing shit on the road is, again, not your problem and stupid to think anyone would think that was revenge.

Another thing I really don't know WTF about is WTF happens if you have "Violators will be Towed" and you have some guy towed, but he don't rush down the next day to get raped by the tow company like a normal tow of some guy's expensive car he needs back real bad.

Does the entity ordering the tow get on the hook for tow and STORAGE if the owner doesn't show up fast and bend over?

I'd had cars towed by The City and let fees accumulate and it ding my credit but after 10yrs it dropped off, and these beaters musta cost lot more to store for 90days or WTF. But I'd guess the City pays the tow company something.

WTF happens if tow company shows up and its obviously a POS that no one it going to pay to get out of Impound? Does the tow driver say "oh, I just got an emergency call from Sheriff for another tow, LOL"

Property I've got my eye on has "city" sewer, water, power and its got a extra acre or so of flat land off paved road in popular lake area with several State Park various types of RV campsites.

Is it an ongoing problem for the State Parks to gank shit-boxes out of State Park RV sites? Actually I've been to a few such things just passing through and all the RVs always looked pretty darn new, fancy and expensive, as did any additional vehicles. $100K pimp pickups, $100K bass/ski boats, etc.

PS-I've also worked with several guys during my time in Construction and even Security that were living out of RVs on temp assignment from out of the area, and they were always fairly high ranking "hired gun" types, not Bubbas.

Its also got only one neighbor on the other side, but I guess there are a couple houses on that road that have more or less same setup, who might be able to compete.
