I'm having an issue with mold building up in my room. I use a dehumidifier and it does help a little bit not as much on the walls. Anyone have some tips on dealing with mold?

you have to remove it and kill what you don't remove. it's gonna be in your drywall and just keep flowering. you also need to fix the water intrusion before you tear out and replace everything. bleach what you can't tear out, and I mean the literal studs everything else comes out.

Open your windows and spray beach everywhere the mold is and in an area around it Do it regularly.
Spores amount will decrease over time and if the humidity of your home isn't high, mold will have a hard time to grow again

It's most likely in your lungs now anyhow but you really should wear an industrial level respirator with appropriate cartridges around that shit. Do you have asthma and allergies? I'd expect it to happen to you eventually if not.

1. Do not use bleach, use high % vinegar. Saturate area and leave alone
2. Buy a larger humidifier, one that you can leave on continuously.
3. Ozone treatment, you can score these for 50-75 sometimes
4. UV treatment, same price.

After treatment. Bone dry, multiple vinegar sprays, ect. Seal with KILLZ or other anti-mold

I used to deal with hotel rooms in oceanfront condos. Using these methods worked very very well.

Your exhaust fan might be clogged or at least restricted. Did you get one of those supermax fucking tear the skin off your body shower heads? Your gallons per minute might be way up. You need to dry it out after you shower. Until you figure it out you could get a powerful fan like one of those 15 amp floor fans and just prop it up in front of an open door to your bathroom and just blast air in, not out, in. That's what the fire department does when they want to clear the smoke from your home. That will dehumidify the room. At least to the level of the air in your apartment.

OP I'm telling you this because mold took a year off my life from sickness. I was coughing up blood. You should be treating this as an emergency.
>mold on the walls
Get a mold spray (bleach should be in the mixture), spray it on the target. When I had this problem google said "white vinegar", that shit wasn't enough for surfaces. Mold spray is the way to go.
>Mold in the air
Get a HEPA filter. Dehumidifer isn't enough.
A >$200 HEPA filter is worth it, worth more than groceries imo. You can go a few days without food but you can't go that time without breathing air.
>Mold in clothes
Throw them out, don't take chances.

Open your windows. Check for pipe and roof leaks. A thermal camera helps. Mold is not as bad as people say. The studies that started the hysteria have not been able to be replicated. It's a Jewish lawyer scam like everything else. Mysteriously people lived with mold for centuries and only made this connection in the 90s. Any particulate at all can bother someone with asthma.

Even just a fan will help keep the air circulating and keeps the area dry.
Keep the dust down, put an air filter on that fan. A lot of mold is actually growing on a mat of dust that accumulates.
Wipe surfaces with metallic salts and end-cut preservatives:
Zinc napthanate is pretty clear. Copper napthanate is like dark green ink. Both are oil-based.

>"white vinegar"
black mold is one of the most acid-resistant organisms in the world. They use black mold to make industrial quantities of citric acid.
The only think vinegar is good for is maybe removing calcium deposits that the mold can grow on.
bleach is the thing. Also, hydrogen peroxide. But those effects will wear off.
