neat, worried about calcium leeching weakening the foundation but some old billboard vinly would fix the issue doubt the leeching will be a problem in his lifetime. house temps will be a problem, places with basement have cold ground temps so it will be cold, constantly fighting ground temps is not realistic.

Saltwater and freshwater are such different systems that you should just start out with saltwater if that's where you want to be.
