Maybe im retarded but im having to replace a pvc tank and i wonder:
Would why not build a sealed, concrete water tank instead of temporary pvc tanks that you need to replace every 10 years?
Would the extra structural material be that much heavier than the water itself?
Tanks in pic have shade because both sun and rain melts pvc slowly

It’s more expensive. Is this your own project, or were you contracted?
You could build a simple shelter around the PVC tank to prevent sun damage, using some cheap material like sheet metal with a treated wood frame. But that would have to get repaired at some point, too.

My own. Cost to replace my pvc tanks will be around $500 usd
