occasionally i get a craving for it so i get one, eat the limbs and some of the breast for lunch, spend too much time pulling the body meat off the bones and cleaning up, packing for leftovers, then throwing it all away after not touching any of it for a week
they occasionally sell cold, shredded rotisserie meat (no skin) in a bag and i have no idea how miserable you have to be to eat that

The depression chicken is a good and quick meal for the occasions when cooking time is limited. But you are buying shit chicken meat that is closer to expiration, and you get less breast meat and more dark meat and skin. That is fine for overall healthy people but the average SSRI-taking American office girl will find herself gaining weight on these overpriced meats.
Stick with the boneless skinless breasts whenever possible. But if you're in a rush and have few other options, it's better than many other unhealthy choices.

This is pedantic but I enjoy it. I weigh the cooked bird on scales, and then weigh the bones at the end of the meal. Subtract and there's your weight.
I also enjoy eating the tendons and cartilage and enjoy ckeaning the bones, and freeze the bones for later broths.

NTA but isn't dark meat healthier because of fat content? Chicken breasts have no fat on them so you only get protein.
