knee issues
> be 21
> having knee pain for 3 years, knees cracking ever since being 14
> at first I think it's just soreness from working out, try to cut the sugar to decrease inflammation
> as time goes on the pain gets worse and worse - wake up with intense kneepain that doesn't go away until hours later even if i didn't work out sometimes
> doesn't feel like the type of kneepain you have after a day of rucking in the military either
> still think i just have to "train through it" because I saw a video of some dude who said he did this and it worked for him
> earlier this year I start having sharp pains (like some kind of needle) when walking down the stairs
> decide I have to go to the doctor, makes me get an x-ray
> says I do have slight knock-knees but other than that my knees are perfect, doesn't see a reason for my pain

i am not just simply imagining things right!?
anyone else had this?
(sorry for WoT)

Leg press and curcuma + black pepper pills. Warning: when you stop with curcuma, the pain will come back even stronger.

It works as an anti-iflammatory in the joints and does it so well that when you stop suddenly your knee pain comes back

You say knee pain, where does it hurt?
The front (Patella)
The middle (ACL)
The back(PCL)

the front and inside (inside only when walking the stairs)
no problems with the back of the knees

It's either:

Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome (PFPS):
Also known as runner's knee, this condition involves pain around or under the kneecap, often aggravated by stair descent.

Meniscus Tears:
Tears in the meniscus, a cartilage cushion in the knee, can cause pain and discomfort during stair descent.

Or

IT Band Syndrome:
Inflammation of the iliotibial (IT) band, a tendon on the outer thigh, can result in pain when going down stairs.

Does it hurt when the knee gets cold and does it feels better when it's warm?

>Does it hurt when the knee gets cold and does it feels better when it's warm?
honestly no clue
never tried cooling it and don't think I have applied heat either

doctor said I can get an MRI scan
do any of those things only become visible with MRI-scans and are invisible in X-Ray images?

Unironically feel like I might lose it if the MRI-Scan doesn't show anything either, like this is not the first time I have problems with something and doctors don't find anything
slowly starting to question my sanity and starting to feel like a Hypochonder

>knee started clicking in college
>My doctor (D.O. not M.D.) told me it’s fine and didn’t do an x ray
>1 year later go back to the doctor because knee started clicking twice when I bent it instead of just once, says it’s fine and still doesn’t do an x ray
>1 year later tell doctor my knee now clicks 3 times, she’s says it’s fine and doesn’t do an x ray. I’m retarded so I never pushed her for it.
>2 years later my leg is killing me and I realize I’m no longer able to bend my knee.
>Go to MD doctor and he says wtf you’re leg is 3x the size of a normal leg, you need an xray
>bonecancer.exe
>Go through 11 surgeries and they give me titanium knee and femur and remove half my quad muscle and fat

Get a second opinion at another doctor and get another xray, they are retarded and never go to a DO. You don’t want to get fucked.

This is the root of almost every chronic injury in young people. Stop doing squats, or at the very least you need to GREATLY reduce the amount you do. Like, do them daily, but only for such a minuscule amount of volume that you don't even start to get tired from it. You need to stop trying to "train" and simply concentrate on getting the blood flowing there. If you do this and stop damaging your knees like a dumbass, your body will repair them.

So you never wear shorts while it's a little bit windy outside or your legs don't cool down when you wear shorts and sleep without a blanket?
>do any of those things only become visible with MRI-scans and are invisible in X-Ray images?
My guess is you have an inflamed/injured knee tendon and tendons usually contract when it's cold, when the tendon is inflamed and contracts from the coldness it hurts twice as much, in the worse case you can barely bend your knee without pain.
And warmth does the opposite, it keeps the tendon expended, it helps with the inflammation, it helps the tendon to heal by supplying the area with blood and nutrients.

If your knee only hurts when walking down the stairs aka putting pressure/weight on it and you don't have any problems bending the knee, it could be something different.
