Wes Watson is an insecure man whose self-validation comes entirely from material possessions. He's one of those guys who doesn't like hanging around with other men as he sees them as a threat. He's created his own little bubble where he's the king. I suspect he might also be a closet homosexual but that's not my business.
On the actual OP post, you don't need to be a drug dealer or thug, but it's true, you won't get anywhere in life being a good guy. Nobody ever got promoted in a corporate job for being nice. Even though it contradicts how a lot of people, especially those with Christian upbringings have been raised, the best way to get ahead in life is to be selfish and not to give a fuck about how other people feel. People worry that if they behave like this then others will cut them out of their lives, but they won't. Putting yourself first in every situation is unironically the true path to happiness.
