I was always a Fire starter loyalist, but I hated Blaziken's design the second I saw it. I know it's a meme at this point to say "X pokemon looks like a digimon" but as a kid I genuinely felt that way. The fact we had Fire/Fighting starters for three fucking generations in a row, each with a shittier design made me hate the typing and swear off fire starters moving forward. By Gen 6 the damage was done and I realized there would never be another fire starter that could live up to Charizard's level of cool.
