After years of pretending I don't care about hair loss I think I'm finally ready to admit I'm NOT fine with it. Started noticing around 2019 but it got really bad in the last two years. Is it too late for meds or transplant?

if that's actually you just shave it off. it was too late years ago

40-50% of men are bald. it's not ideal but it's not a dealbreaker if you have muscles, confidence, and personality.

Yes it's actually me. This is how it looks on the sides, I had hoped it maybe is enough for transplant but in not sure if I want to go that far. I didn't even realize I had curly hair like this until this year after I stopped bothering going to the barber, since I had always kept it short. I wish I has found out when I still had hair, sigh

Ultimate dating strategy for baldies: wait until a hair loss cure gets made (5 years) then don't use it
Everyone will have hair and you'll be the only bald guy so nichemaxing potential will be insane when the rare kind of girl who prefers bald heads only had one guy to choose from

As you probably know you should have started years ago and will not get full recovery. It looks much better in your second pic though and I think you'd get a good recovery.

You need to start finasteride or very preferably dutasteride (just a better version of finasteride but more expensive/not available everywhere) NOW. Take it for 6 months to 1 year then assess what to do next.

If you do not have the results you want then add minoxidil or get a transplant if not close. You could also start minoxidil right now, would be understandable but the topical version is very annoying to apply and the pill is less accessible than dutasteride and causes hair to grow everywhere.

This is my results on fin and nothing else. I've switched to dut now, fin was still regrowing it but dut definitely works better. I don't use min cause it is so annoying to apply and the pills cause hair to grow everywhere.

Sad I even have to mention it but average IQ here is on the floor, no side effects of any kind. Just look up studies if you are worried about this it is very conclusive.

Why would I give a fuck about stuff which isn't real? So many studies and stuff have been done on it.

If I start having issues I'll stop taking it but it's crazy how many people on this site are terrified of making any changes to their lives then moan about the results.

Thanks for the advice and your results are very encouraging anon. I'm well aware most of my hair is past the point of no return, but I'm now more convinced that treatment might be worth it to maybe get a less embarrassing top while protecting the hair I have left from further loss. At worst it should earn me more time to decide on getting a transplant or not.

OP, I started fin and min in 2023 when I noticed I had a widow's peak and thinning around the crown. This is my hair today. My dick works perfectly. It is possible to save your hair if you're not too far gone.

No problem. If it matters at all I am almost done with medical school and was balding young, had amazing results with this stuff. My younger brother did not do anything and people always assume I'm the younger one or straight up ask about the hair difference.

Really the question you need to be asking yourself isn't what treatment to start or whether to get a transplant but do you want to do anything to prevent it or are you happy letting nature take its course?

If you want to take action the first step for balding prevention/reversal is ALWAYS finasteride or dutasteride for as long as you want hair. Then if you don't get the results you want after 6 months to a year consider adding additional medications and/or a transplant. That is all there is to it.

Also topical minoxidil is extremely lethal to cats... just raising awareness cause not everyone knows.

Yeah and they show it causes ED an depression, among other things such as you growing titties and an increased risk of prostate cancer.
>I'll just stop taking it
Might not help, post-finasteride syndrome is real.

OP if you can hear me, keep the hair and don't cut it. Just go bald naturally and enjoy what you have left. You'll regret shaving it. No one cares. Own the norwood and worry about your health and style instead. Receding hairlines are badass. Don't just become another bald chud.

In 1% of people. You forgot that part.

I think it can cause ED in <3% of men but even this is debatable and obviously you just stop taking it. Depression similar thing but even rarer.

I am skeptical of gyne. Increased risk of prostate cancer is just straight up wrong it reduces likelihood of it occurring but makes it harder to detect so gets picked up at later stage. PFS is very likely not real.

Don't really know why I bothered addressing this retarded nonsense since obviously pointless but I am almost done with medical school and the many studies out there show it to be safe which is why it's so easy to order it online and doesn't even need a prescription to buy in many countries.

If you don't mind going bald then good for you, but it's so clear on 4chan most people posting about balding are not happy about it but utterly retarded and believe this shit or scared of their own shadow so convince themselves it's dangerous instead of having to keep worrying about the decision.

If that's you you've got not nearly enough for a transplant and it's probably too late for fin. There have been some people slick bald for over a decade that managed to get a full head of hair back off fin but that's extremely rare Barring that supposed miracle thing coming out in the next couple years your only real option right now is a hair system.

Fin and min are just big boomer memes, 9/10 times you're gonna grow more hair rubbing on some weird jeet plant autistylate that only has published research in mice and claims to upregulate four random growth factor pathways.

I feel ya OP. Luckily I'm not loosing hair actively but I've had this Norwood 2 looking hairline for a decade now since my teens. Pic rel looks even worse than usual because I just let it grow after a buzz cut without trimming the sides. After a proper haircut it looks okay but I always have to fuss about styling it such that my hairline doesn't make it look weird or unbalanced. My hairline also makes my skull shape look odd, like a light bulb lmao. Maybe I'm just schizo from being online too much. I don't want to take fin/min because I've had issues with T in the past and I'm not fucking with that. So I've accepted the buzz look, it's easier on the wallet too and it's not like I was drowning in female interest before anyways. Just remember that if you get a buzz cut you might also need different glasses and what have you. Thin frames make you look older.

reading like 5,000 trichology abstracts, 500 full texts, and rubbing like 50 research chemicals on my head.

>bout twice as much hair as when I started
Do you have anything substantial to provide as evidence at all? If not shut your mouth.
just read the papers on hemp, mint, and mulberry for example; one has a stronger 5-ARI than fin, another is a min-mimetic, and another has a human clinical trial.

None of this shit is real or it would be recommended as the first line treatment by medical guidelines and doctors.
