I broke up with my gf early may and the whole may and June i was playing starcraft 2 and wow for like 5-6 hours a day every single day, i managed to quit at 20th of June and haven't touched any vidya in two weeks but mostly because i realized that i'm wasting a lot of time, now thinking about vidya really makes me bored.

Does anyone else have a love/hate relationship with vidya? I mean i coped well when i broke up with her but now it's just in the way of other things, but i need to find a real purpose because this doesn't cut it.

Yes. I was a proper epic gamer for far too many years. Mix it up with dude weed 420 erryday and beer/booze. Recipie for disaster. It destroyed many relationships. Platonic and romantic. But mostly a healthy one with myself.
The straw that broke the camels back was my last long term GF breaking up with my for another dude.
Made me reflect hard and change a lot of shit in my life and how wasting it on vidya is extremely detrimental.
This was three years ago now. And I occasionally indulge, but seldom.
It helps that most games don't interest me anymore anyway.
I u ironically just starting viewing life like a game. Kinda cures the itch.

Sometimes I get a bit mad at myself for wasting so much of my life with bad, destructive habits. But then I tell myself at least I made the change and have sorted it. As there are many who never change and remain the same.

I only play classic. Got back into it at the start of this year. Got my first ever 60, have been raiding. Doing tons of pvp. This is honestly the greatest game ever made.

Big time, for almost two years I didn’t play any games for more than an hour. I picked up reading and guitar playing. Fitness came later. I play them more now but it’s like a reward system. If I don’t work out, run, clean, whatever I can’t sit down and game.
