I think my maintenance was around 2600kcal and I’m about to add 500kcal to clean bulk. I don’t eat identically each day so I don’t have exact numbers, but I log my body weight so I have a pretty good idea of what I’m getting

Looking good, depending on where you live… why start a cut that won’t finish until the fall? I’d kinda eat a little above maintenance and keep the lifts going up without adding too much fat

Havent posted here in a year or so.
I am in the ending stage of cut. Right now at 80.5 kg, 182 cm. This years cut was rough, i had a AC joint resection surgery in the beginning of the may, causing me to completely skip training for 6 weeks or so. Lets just say that eating at high deficit and not lifting will eat through your muscles. Anyway, my ac joint is getting better, and i am going to hunt 5 plate bench when i completely recover. Cheers!

Basically it’s just years of bench pressing, weighted dips eroded my left ac joint to the point it was causing pain. Now they removed about 0.5 cm of bone to make some room. Will it work? I dont know, we ll see. I am not taking anything to speed up the recovery, just normal rehab work

I’ve been in shape pretty much for about 18 years, but definitely not consistent in the gym for 18 years, many set backs and injuries. Broken femur, 3 years of surgeries, had 3 kids (ruins your sleep and your ability to find time to train), tore a psoas once which took years to fully heal, lost interest in training for a few years here and there. I would say I had two peaks physically… one around my mid 20’s and another second wind around age 35, definitely feeing the decline now!

I basically don’t train real heavy anymore, just spin the wheels and try to stay below 15% Body fat

Please ignore the godawful tan, I forgot sunscreen at an outdoors event like a mongoloid.
I only started lifting ~3 months ago, and I when I started, I was unable to do a single pushup, so I was probably very far behind the average starting point. I've put on 6 or 7 pounds since I started, which I'm quite happy with.
Obviously I am still skinny and all, but I've already seen some changes that are quite motivating.
Also, instead of replying to everyone else who posted, it's nice motivation to see where people can get to. Hopefully I can be proud of what I achieve in a year or two.

So I decided to do full body 3x per week. I shifted stuff around a bit in the beginning, but what I essentially did was

Day A
Dumbbell Squat
Dumbbell Bench Press
Lat Pulldown (Cable)
Dumbbell OHP
Dumbbell Bicep Curl
Dumbbell Skullcrushers

Day B
Deadlift
Pushup
Dumbbell Row
Leg Press Machine
Lateral Raise
Hammer Curl
Tricep Pushdown

All exercises 3x6-12
Alternate A/B/A, next week B/A/B etc.

For pushups, I obviously wasn't able to do them, so I started with incline pushups on the stairs. I found these very awkward, so I swapped to knee pushups. I did those for a week or two, and then I switched to doing negative pushups and going really slow. After a week, I would start each set of negatives with as many pushups as I could do, which at first was just 1 on set 1, and 1 on set 2. Slowly, with negatives and bench press I was able to add more and more pushups. Once I got to 2x5, 1x3 pushups on my sets, I switched entirely to just pushups and no negatives.

Also, my exercise selection is kinda weird because we have some home equipment. I will switch to more barbell stuff once I start in a commercial gym.

So I've heard, especially if you do bench as well as incline bench. I was planning on changing it once I start going to a gym with an adjustable bench. I'd definitely swap pushups for incline bench. Thanks for the recommendation of the Arnold lat raises, I'll check those out.

See, I've been debating not doing them, but I need something for my hamstrings. I will use the leg curl machines at the gym, but the hip hinges are basically all deadlift variations. I find my grip to be quite shit, so I can never take my hamstrings to 1-3 RIR on RDLs for example.

yeah the single leg rdls take some work on balance, but they are extremely great once you get it down. id maybe just work on balance without weights on them first and approach them again. also, the BSS can be brutal on balance too, but they sherd your quads and glutes

Chads, after 4 whole months of not being able to lift due to a rotator cuff injury the time has come for me to train again. I literally had to start with isometric exercises against a towel to strengthen the rotator cuff because it was so weak. Then gruelingly worked up to weights... idk what the lightest plates i own weigh but i couldnt even do the exercises with them at the start (without shoulders hurting.)

The muscles there still aren't super strong. So I won't be doing any crazy amounts of weight. But I feel confident i can start with lighter weights now and continue. Ill keep doing rotator cuff exercises along side it to hopefully prevent this from re-occuring.

Alright first time posting

Age 36 6'1" and 160 lbs. This picture was a few months ago, no major changes since then. Heaviest ever was 225 not muscular. Biggest factor in losing the weight and gaining whatever muscle I have was quitting alcohol and fast food. Other than that I don't do much, pushup PR is 100, 45 lb dumbbell for curls and a set of resistance bands up to 200lbs. Creatine, protein.

If I gave a fuck and ever set foot into a gym, or worked out with regularity, I could have a nice body goin on. Not sure why my willpower falls short of desire every time. Just started running a little bit too which is difficult, 5 laps around the track is my best and with breaks.
