I'm close to finishing my journey to stop being a fat shit. 5 kg left at best, 9 at worst. What's the next step for bulking? Should I eat at maintenance for some time, a week or two, to accustom my body or just straight up start eating surplus?

I would go to maintenance for sure. You'd probably want to stay there longer than 1-2 weeks. I go for at a month or so when I'm on maintenance. Especially coming from fat mode too, don't rush the process. Let your body hang out at it's new weight for a while. I add calories in increments of 200. Nothing crazy, but enough to do something

Yeah, that's basically my plan. Perma bulking on only 200-300 caloric surplus.

Slow and steady wins the race. I wouldn't permabulk either, give your body a break eventually. That's just me tho. Best of luck
