Count calories, all of them.
Eat about 500-1000 less calories than your TDEE.
Buy scales, be accurate.
Learn to cook. Try to stick to lean protein and green vegetables.
Eat a lot of protein. 0.72g per pound of goal lean body mass.
Doing cardio, even just walking, will improve your health. There is no such thing as a healthy fat heart, but you can offset the risks.
Lifting weights will keep and gain muscle mass and lose fat much quicker. Not lifting results in the body eating away muscle AND fat.
Drink more water.

Eat refined sugars, they're terrible for you regardless of calories.
Eat processed foods.
Drink your calories (alcohol, soda, Starbucks).
Freak out over a weight loss stall. Plateaus can last up to three weeks.
"Reward" yourself. Cheat days cheat only yourself.

I’ve tried to lose weight many times, but the only two times(over the years) when I succeeded were by OMADing pizza under my calorie expenditure. They post nutritional info on website so it’s easy to not overshoot and they usually have enough topping variety to keep me entertained. It’s also expensive enough to keep me from buying more. Also there’s something satisfying about eating same shit every day at same time coming from the same branded box that helped me stick to it. My energy levels have also been excellent and I had 0 health problems.

When you eat slop it makes you low key high for a few hours. That gives the willpower to abstain from food for the whole day, going from ravenously hungry to sugar rush is the reward. Then you immediately go to sleep. Rinse, repeat. Once you get used to this day long cycle calorie deficit becomes almost effortless.

As opposed to the never ending grind of healthy foods, where you get no immediate reward and you get punishment in the form of having to cook it, go shop, wash dishes. AND when you cook and store more than the daily amount it’s very tempting to overeat on healthy foods. When you only have 1 pizza in your house and empty fridge and pantry, you can’t overeat. There’s literally nothing in your house to eat other than boiled leather shoes.

I hate how impossible it can be to calculate your calorie intake when you are cooking a big meal for multiple people. You can easily calculate the total calories for the whole meal obviously but it's impossible to know what portion of those calories you are taking with your portion

I have this problems with meals like stew, big pots of spaghetti, pasta etc.

159 cal for 284g of condensed soup seems alright. 7 grams of fat. Carrots are 118 calories for the same amount.

Also, thanks to the guy that recommended I buy these. I found out why they're so cheap - pink salmon is the lowest quality salmon. It has 2-3x less DHA than sockeye and even the farmed atlantic shit, but it's cheap and wild caught so I can eat it every day.
The flavor is still good but noticeably blander than sockeye or keta. Apparently this is the breed they shove into canned salmon.

I was supposed to stop eating at 1800 last night but I didn't because I saw that we had beers. someone brought beers and since I hadn't had any in a while I thought I'd had a few. only, a few turned into the whole case cause I got a high tolerance cause my age don't exist like whoa-oh-oh. but seriously I drank the whole case, and on top of that I binged a little bit. didn't totally stuff my face but I definitely ate more than I would have if I just stopped eating at 1800. the good thing is that I didn't eat most of the day today so my energy balance kinda worked itself out I think, but still it's no bueno that I just on a whim decided to drink an entire case of beers, not saving any for anyone else, just because I wanted to, and binged on top of it.

I didn't even get drunk because they were shitty light beers and it was basically low calorie piss water so it wasn't even satisfying. I'm not hungover or anything, but I feel like shit because of what I did. feels like I'm not gonna make it bros.

Just work out through the doms. They'll go away and become gradually more difficult to achieve. If you're actually lifting hard enough trigger doms after the first few months of doing a given exercise its a sign you're doing it right. If you never get doms after the first few months you might be spinning your wheels.

That's probably more of a function of OMADing. You eat until you're painfully full (but still under calorie limit) and then wait to do it again the next day. Overall you'll lose weight, but I don't think it's sustainable or healthy.

In other words, if you tried to eat 3 meals a day of processed foods you'd fail, but since you eat in only one window it's easier to stay under calorie budget.

Just want to hit most of my body in as few exercises as possible. I get fucking fatigued after only like 3 or 4 different lifts. Byproduct of being an obese fatty with shit cardio health maybe.
