I personally hate powerlifters.

The number one way to make powershitters seethe is olympic lifting. Get to a lmao2pl8 clean and jerk and you will get some serious seething. Bonus points for dropping it from overhead. Its also just more fun to throw heavy shit overhead all the time than autistically try to shorten ROM by doing shit like sumo deadlift or arching your bench. There’s no cheating getting the bar above your head, its either going up or it isn’t. You’ll look pretty jacked too if you hammer on the accessories (OHP, BTN press, Upright row, high bar squats, 3x8 reps)

Based OP, I loathe powerlifters with every inch of my being. I'm somewhat of a decent athlete even during school, so to really piss off this one chubby powerlifter at our gym I actually started copying his workouts right in front of him. We even started chatting and exchanging numbers and then I knew my infiltration was complete. Then one day later (albeit this took years) I actually sumo'd more than the fat fuck. I made sure he was there to watch it, too. I dumped the bar and started screaming under all the adrenaline and like a complete fool he even came over to congratulate me. After I gave him a split second of jubilation I grew cold, shoved him away, told him powerlifting is gay and threw my wraps in his face and left the gym forever.

Torokhtiy, Sika Strength, Clarence0, Klokov’s seminar videos, Ma strength, Zack Telander, Catalyst Athletics. All good sources of info for self teaching. Ideally find a coach to drop in with once in a while. It’s really not that hard to get to a decent level on your own, but it is very hard to get to an elite level. Try to immerse yourself in the sport as well, read up on how various teams trained and what you can learn from them. Watch the pros lift. You can find plenty of programs online geared towards beginners self teaching. Keep the weight light and try to work just with the bar and light bumper plates for the first couple months until you really get the groove for it. It can be done way more often than the powerlifts because there’s very little continuous muscular tension to the main lifts and the power oriented accessories.

Could move all the plates from the benches right before close so the guy doesn't feel like moving it before he leaves then during the day they'll have to wait for someone not to be squatting to get the pl8s if you put it on the right rack. Only leave 1pl8 on each bench and move the plates from the hammer strength machines too because powerlifters often go to the gym for machines.

I have developed a program just like that, fren, I have no time to post it now but you want to lift the heaviest shit possible using the biggest number of 20Kg plates you can but there's one caveat: no deadlifts, no back squat (high bar acceptable), no bench press.
Me? I do shrugs, RDLs, rack pulls, hack squats, front squats, zercher squats, OHP (push press if I want to use 2lmaopl8s but a straight up strict military press is like powershitter kryptonite by itself), hip thrust. Anything that requires me to use a rack and a lot of plates is perfect; make sure to take LONG breaks and don't be afraid to superset. This will drive them off the rails trust a nigga on this. Spiritual mogging on another level.

There was this fat Asian powerlifter at the gym who only did sumo deadlift doubles. The range of motion was tiny and he slammed every rep like it was a world record.

To load plates, he used two 2.5 lb plates as rollers. He treated them like priceless tools and always kept them close.

One day, mid-rest, some guy just walked up and grabbed one without asking.

The powerlifter froze. His face was priceless. Eyes wide. Mouth open. Just stared in disbelief.

Asians aren’t confrontational, so he didn’t say a word. Just stood there like his whole setup had been violated.

He finished the session using a protein shaker as a roller. They’re harmless.

you’ll hear people say “oly lifting” but that’s already a tell they are not in the loop

in actual weightlifting circles, it’s just called weightlifting
no prefix, no clarification needed
the “oly” label is something normies and crossfitters use because they do not know the culture or the sport
it’s like calling judo japanese wrestling to sound informed

it’s one of those little signals
if someone says “oly,” you instantly know they are on the outside looking in
not a big deal just a quiet filter for who gets it and who does not

powerlifters and body builders are some of the most autistic people you will ever meet. They're exactly the same as any /fit/izen in that aspect. The only difference is that they got really good at what they do while people on /fit/ don't even go to the gym
