Some things i've witnessed in the few months i've gone back to my gym

>one-legged leg press while laying on your side
>Doing leg press in the calf machine
>Doing ohp in the only squat rack in the whole gym
>writing your workout on a piece of paper
>Using a bench to do sitting curls without any back support
>Using a bench to do lunges
>Dropping the bar to the floor with a deadlift with 1 plate on it

Kinda wild how much i've already seen since i mostly just focus on my own workout

I don't even drop the bar on my deadlifts when I do 3.5 pl8 (almost at 4) but I see people do similar in my gym.

They will be seated, shoulder pressing 15kgs (with gloves and a weight belt), and throw the weights down on the ground like they've just hit a 1rm.

I have a boomer who tries supersetting 3 or 4 exercises at peak traffic, with one of them being 55lb barbell curls in the power rack. When I finished my current exercise and needed to do squats, I just took over the rack when he was 10ft away doing something else. Not a fucking word from him.

There are people who stand right next to or lean on the dumbbell rack. I will walk right through you to rerack my shit, I won't even acknowledge you.

On some exercises like the bench and leg press, the 45lb plates should always be racked above the lighter plates. It makes it easier, yet most retards like making things difficult.

Recording yourself doing exercises discreetly is fine, but my gym also allows selfies and seems to be fine with guys going shirtless for them. It's extremely annoying and faggy. Dressing and acting like a whore in the gym is bad for both men and women.

How much of a retarded bitch are you that you can't squat down and pick up 45lbs? The higher weights always go on the bottom. You sound like a dyel who's been lifting for 2 months.
Also by your own logic the lighter weights should be at the top to make it easier for dyels and old people to pick them up.

Way to out yourself as a brainlet who's been doing it wrong the entire time. 45s go on the bottom either for stability reasons or because of floor exercises. Neither is the case for bench or leg press, so they go on top to minimize how far they have to be moved. Who cares if bitchass weights have to be moved a little more. On leg press it's especially annoying when people clog up the racked weights with 25s and 10s, when I am trying to get 7pl8 onto the fucking thing.

You are doing it wrong and making the equipment more dangerous to be around, retard. Objects that are top heavy are easier to tip over. You want the heaviest weights at the bottom for stability.
And you want to encourage people to only go for weights they can handle. If person can only handle 25 pound plates, you want them towards the top so they aren't tempted to go for the heavier ones (without realizing they can't handle them). For someone who is stronger, the heavier weights feel relatively light. It's easy to rack them lower down. Besides for you, because you are too much of a bitch to do a little bit of 45lbs squats. Like a bitch.

Having a heavy weight fall can easily injure people. By having the heaviest stuff the lowest, they have the shortest distance to fall and therefore will keep the risk of injury the lowest. Just imagine for a moment what would happen if a 45lbs plate slipped off the rack from 5 ft in the air and landed on someone's foot. That is a hospital trip for sure. I would go so far as to call this a crucial safety measure and would insist on it in any gym that I'm in. You don't have to reinvent the wheel because you are too lazy to pick up a pl8 off the bottom of the rack.

Where are you getting this fantasy scenario from? 5 feet in the air? I'm talking about the bench press and leg press you fucking moron. It's like 3 feet max, right at hip height, right where grabbing a weight would be the easiest and most stable. You're either illiterate or you have some problem imagining the red apple.

Just don't rerack at all if you're too stupid to do simple math and put the lightest plates on top and the heaviest on the bottom. You're a liability. Gym safety is not the time to be a hipster.

In the provided discussion, the posters arguing for placing heavier weights, like 45lb plates, on the bottom of a weight rack are more correct from a safety and logistical standpoint. Storing heavier plates lower to the ground increases the stability of the storage rack and minimizes the risk of injury from a falling plate. While it may be slightly more convenient to grab heavier plates from waist or chest height, this convenience does not outweigh the potential safety hazards. For those using heavy weights on machines like the leg press, it is recommended to have the 45lb plates on the top pegs of the machine's built-in storage for easier loading onto the machine itself. However, for general free weight storage on a weight tree, the standard and safer practice is to place the heaviest plates on the bottom pegs. This ensures the rack is not top-heavy and accommodates all gym-goers, including those who may have difficulty lifting heavy plates from a higher position.

Farmers carry with weights smaller than a shopping basket or god help me lighter than my lunch

ignoring the numerous posted signs that say no camera or video recording allowed
This seems to be a racial thing but a certain race likes to make loud multi-hour speakerphone calls and just walk around with the phone blasting. Kind of like the 1980s "boombox" meme, same people doing it, equally annoying.
The people who never shower or wash their gym clothes trying to smell like they're homeless. If I wanted to smell homeless people I'd move to a blue state city. If you can afford my semi-expensive gym you can afford laundry detergent.

The biggest sin:

>NOT RERACKING THE DUMBBELLS BETWEEN SETS

My gym has one collection of dumbbells, so only two of each weight. When a guy takes the one set of anything between 20lbs to 50lbs (i.e. the ones that get used the most) and just sets them by his feet while he plays on his phone between sets instead of racking them so that someone else can use them while he checks tiktok, it makes me want to strangle him.
Even worse, when someone gets adjacent sizes like 30,35, and 40 and just surrounds himself at the bench with "his" dumbbells no one else can use.

It's called Hevy. Don't pay for pro unless you feel you need it. Pretty good app.

>being a woman

I hate when I have one lift left to do, it's on a machine that my gym only has one of, and there is an attractive woman doing split raise kegel curls or some shit right next to it.

You just know that there is a greater than zero chance that she is going to film you and be like "I was just trying to get a workout in and this ick-giving CREEP started using this machine that was only six feet away from my vagina."

Winding up on her instagram isn't even the worst part. Appearing on some gym thots instagram is forgettable, no one will care. The video that everyone sees will be the one with Joey Swoll defending your ass.

Filming in the gym.
Itโ€™s so common for people to bring fucking tripods and record everything/live stream their whole gym session, I fucking hate it.
>>76485168
This shit is especially annoying when the skank filming says something to you because someone theyโ€™re talking to/watching on their phone said something. Leave me alone.
