Good for warmup. You'll start appreciating them after your first serious trauma.

OP may be a faggot but I am interested too. I'm only doing dumbbell exercises at home, how to implement bands as well, which numbers? I'm working with 10-15kg dumbies.

If you live in an rv, or are a long haul trucker, it’s perfect. Cheap, compact, and light. Good for nomads.

Thanks for reminding me I need to buy a yellow/red one because some motherfucker at my gym keeps stealing the lighter ones meaning my warm-ups are fucked

i use them to assist pullups and chinups
my back is my weakest lift for some reason

They're not really strong enough for any exercise and even the more expensive ones become porous very quickly and will snap on you. Every single resistance band I've owned has snapped, sometimes a very painful experience.

For me, they're amazing.
I use them to warm up and for learning technique and gaining strength with calisthenics skills.
They're a vital bit of kit for how I train. I dread to think where I would be without them.

I mostly just use them as part of rehab for the odd injury now and then that is stubborn about healing.

My bf broke up with me two weeks ago, and I really got into rubber bands, good for your ass and legs.

The red one is useful for warming up + mobility work. The purple/green ones can be useful for assisted pullups if you need that.
This youtuber https://youtu.be/u2c457r0Jf8?si=I1yIniE8VPMgFt59 swears by footplate band curls but I've never tried it so can't comment on that.

>Light band
Shoulder warmup routines
Knee extension (running injury rehab/prehab; machine knee extensions have always caused pain)

>Medium band
Shoulder mobility

>Heavy band
Hip mobility
Assisted pull-ups for drop sets

I've never really tried using them for my main strength routine. It seems like it would be harder to record progress than with [weight] x [reps].

Do not expect a lot. But they work.
I fucked my shoulder rotator cuff doing mountain biking, and said "no fucking way I'm gonna get under the knife for it". After 10 chiropractic sessions I am helping myself to return to the gym with easy exercises using the yellow and red bands. Pretty neat.

Couldn't be more true. I love you, resistance bands.

Ikr, it wasn't until I hurt my shoulder that I started using them. Now I have a full blown warmup routine with bands for my shoulders. But before that? "Bands are a waste of money and for girls". Oh how the turns tabled.

I'd like to use mine more, but I find it very frustrating when they aren't the right length. My physio gave me a lightweight band that he cut to length from a roll and tied into a loop. That served me well through my rehab and I've been able to adjust the length by redoing the knot as necessary. Now I want to up the load with a looped band like in the OP.

>Wrap it once around the anchor
Too slack
>Wrap it twice around the anchor
Too taught
>Try to tie a knot
Too thick

Any advice? Might just buy some stuff similar to what the physio gave me. A roll is pretty cheap (<€20) and enough for a lifetime.

I use them to do assisted 90 degree push-ups and look like a retard.

I use them as wraps for dumbbells when doing neck curls.
Otherwise, I'd say don't bother unless you have nothing else. Even the thickest ones will not be that great for building muscle compared to proper weights

I only use bands and calisthenics for a while now. I like bands, because it is really easy to get your workouts in, since you don't need to go to the gym.
I work from home so I usually exercise during my work hours lol.
The ones in the pic are the cheaper, molded ones, if you want something with more resistance you can get layered bands, but they are more expensive.
The max that I ever did with bands is a deadlift with a 300 and 400 pound band, but that obviously isnt the same as would be with weights. Haven't been to the gym so I cant compare at where I am in free weights.
