Just keep at it anon. Could only do 15 minutes? Well tomorrow you are going to aim for 15 minutes and 10 seconds, and you are going to do that for the rest of the week. And then the next week you will add another 10 seconds.
You just need to be consistent anon, wagmi

Eat less. Gains come from the gym. Losses come from the kitchen. Yes, the muscles built from working out will raise your TDEE, but working out, for the most part, doesn't really burn that many calories. Even an eight mile run is only 1000 calories. You're better off not eating calories than trying to burn them off with exercise.

Hi OP, I've been weightlifting for a couple of months. Did my first run yesterday as per the general here (1 minute running, 1 1/2 minutes walking x8) and I was fucking dying by the 5th or 6th rep. Keep it up, we're gonna make it!

Just go on the treadmill and walk for an hour flat at 3mph/5kph

Then next time you go do the same but add half a degree of incline. Do this until you can't make progress or hit the max incline.

Then adjust it so you stay in the 120-130BPM range

The journey of 1000 miles begins with the first step.
To achieve anything, you must first start. Usually people think that's the hardest part, but the real hardest part is sticking to something, even when you suck at it. Starting is merely the beginning.
Ganbate anon.

I have rheumatoid arthritis that ranges from okay to excruciating and I can't really do many types of exercises or any lifting really due to the pain, but I've been doing 1-2 miles of walking daily along with counting calories and have lost about 50 pounds this year.

When i started doing cardio after a 15 year cardio break I did 8 minutes
The next day 15 mins
The next week I did 25 mins everyday
Now I do anywhere from 30- 40 mins daily and I increase intensity instead of extending time because im already lifting for 30-40 minutes and im short on time as it is. What im getting at here is just keep doing it because it actually gets way fucking easier after the first couple months.

Screenshot me. 15 degree incline 3.0 mph 30 minutes, once daily. You may hang on to the bar or front of the machine. Listen to music as you do this, pick a 30-40 minute album that gives you energy and stick to this album before trying out other music, you will learn to associate certain songs with how far in you are and how much more you have to do. You may think you have to stop due to sweat, heat, or breathing; you do not. You may have to stop due to cramping, simply drink water and get back on once it’s settled if possible. Cramping will stop after a few sessions, and if you fail to do the full 30 minutes the first time, you will get closer with time too. You will doubtlessly miss days, just do it as often as you can intentionally and after a few weeks or months you will start thinking the days off are the weird days and feel nothing negative about having to do it. Healthy weights spend about 350-400 calories on this, overweight/obese can be up to 600 cals. Pair this with calorie counting and you’re golden.

People are giving you shit, but just keep at it. Just do a decent 30 minute walk the next 1-2 days to help with DOMS, and since you're going from a couch potato, you'd be surprised how much you gained from that one exercise. You'd probably be able to go and do the same effort cardio for 20-30 minutes without killing yourself in a few days.

Have you considered rucking? Just put a weight in a backpack and walk. You burn a comparable amount to running for the same time (if the weight is high enough, you should sweat just like after a good run). Make sure you get enough protein, treadmill incline is at least 1.0. Google it.

Just know you'll look like an autistic weirdo (everyone at the gym already thinks you are anyway)

Only eat when you're really hungry, and no it's not that instantenous ravaging hunger feel. Real hunger takes time to build up. You'll know if you listen to your belly instead of your mind. Your body wants to be light and skinny. Eat half of what you'd normally eat. Hungry during the morning and hungry at night will make you lose size. Stay skinny besties!
