can neck training go too far
I already have a decently thick neck (giant head neck gotta be swole to carry it) and I'm wondering if training neck would actually hurt my aesthetics at this point. I don't have a pic but for reference I'm 6'0 and 190lbs and my neck is 41 cm (~16 inches). Could getting my neck to 18 or 19 inches actually make my shoulders and frame look smaller in comparison?

Unless you only train your neck this isn't something to worry about.

ideally your neck will be as wide as your head, not including your ears.

I'm your same height, 45cm neck, and sometimes it looks too small.

Worst comes to worst you just stop training it and it shrinks. You should never worry about a muscle getting too big, it's easier said than done. It's like someone who doesn't lift sayin they're worried about getting too big.

How are you measuring it? My neck is 16in(41cm) relaxed and 18in(46cm) flexed and looks big. I've been training it for 2 years

My neck is very muscular. I have to wear 3XL.

I lay flat on my back and do a crunch with my neck.
I don't know if the accurate term is neck crunch, but I started because I had muscle knots in my neck and my physical therapist recommended it.
Been doing it ever since, highly recommend for mobility (assuming it works for you, I can see how it could be destructive for the soft tissue in the neck)

head and cervical spine stays stationary, u move shoulders only, straight up, meme
>i do not know
hold isometric contraction

>You should never worry about a muscle getting too big

if u're lard arse on the other hand bot it's entirely possible to get too thick neck as natural
and on roids, even wehn small like anton it's entirely possible to blow out neck to the point u will suffocate sleeping

>big muscly neck
sure, i'm all for it, but naturally and not fat of course - only then there's this mind boggling animesque level of detail in neck and that's what u want and proper tonus in these muscles
double chin with proper amount of thoracic extension is the proper posture bot, in practice it means that when u make double chin head stays in exactly the same orientation, just slides back and up, yes up, up to an inch of perceived height

over 18-19inch where you suddenly need a CPAP machine is "too far"

I'm a little taller and heavier than you with an 18" neck and I would recommend not going bigger. Over 17" is considered apnea risk but I'm fine, I think necklets are just at excess trauma fracture risk.
