I am close friends with some 3rdies living in the UK and just when I think they cannot do stupider things I'm flabbergasted time and time again. Recently had one burn down his new barbecue and burn his hands trying to snatch the chicken out of the grill, then I calmed the situation and got it sorted, to where it was nearly a proper bbq and glanced back and saw he used a plastic fork ,that he was just using to manage raw chicken , was now using to remove the good cooled chicken for serving. Another time I left him at the front of our city's most prestigious museum while I parked and I arrived 5mins later to him pissing against the side windows in plain day light in the middle of public. I scolded him and he didn't understand why, I said wait 5 fucking minutes till we get in no? You're going to get your ass deported.
His brother also thought it was a good idea to move 30mins away from work to save 200quid on rent when I told him that his train ticket+bus would end up costing more than just paying the extra rent and be closer to work he simply couldn't understand.

Sometimes he lifts my baby up after a few hours and says the baby has added weight since a few hours ago, while pointing that the nappy is full and I explain that's not possible to weigh more as hasn't drank anything and although waste had moved from inside the baby to the nappy, the total weight is still the same he still doesn't get it and is adamant that a fully nappy adds wreight to a baby even if baby hasn't drank.

Him and his brothers also lived without electric shower for months until I showed him the red pull cord behind the bathroom door to turn it on.

I was manipulated by /fit/ to do 5 sets of heavy squats, 3 days a week. I did this and on one day I fried my CNS during squats and got permanent CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome). I had to lie in my bed and was unable to do physical activity.
After about 15 years I finally recovered and I am able to train, but no squats. They are devil.

I’ve been squatting really hard for the last two months and I was managing to 2pl8 squat for 8 reps in the last 3 weeks but in the last few sessions I could barely do 4 reps and yesterday I even hurt my lower back. I feel pain on the left side and I switched to leg press. I don’t wanna pussy and I love squatting but shit scared the shit out of me. What should I do? I’m doing ppl. Have y'all ever got it verified if it's a snap or not? After a modest lift I had the same symptoms where I couldn't bend, walk, or do shit, but I got it checked out and it turned out to be extreme muscle cramp in the flank. Got valium/muscle relaxants and felt better in less than two days.

Over years it improved, now after 15 years I am able to train muscles and use a bicycle.

No, you'll never be able to lift any kind of respectable weight off someone's shoulders like that. A good spotter will put their arms under yours without actually touching you, squat with you, and if you start to lose it, wrap their arms around your chest and help you lock it back out. The next best option (the best being using a proper rack with pins to catch it if you bail) is no spotter at all. At least then you can dump it behind and move forward out of the way. This guy being behind her with his hands on the bar prevented her from bailing this kills the shejeet

Bent my knees slightly while doing so.
Felt something strange internally.

Literally had to crawl to get to bed.
For days I barely could move.

My shoulders always fucked, my rehab routine fixes it to be workable but this one hasnt gone away in 2 years. Might be a lil tear honestly, im sure if i quit the gym for several months and focused on rehab id be fine. Ive had it worse on the right shoulder and it fully healed, but i can do shoulders and back without aggrevating it somehow but im also probably not pushing that hard just like with bench.

Honestly the only pain I ever had in the gym was from doing skull crushers wrong and tweaking my elbow.

8 months ago however I was running on a hike and fell while descending the mountain, and heard a pop. Since I lost my job and health insurance round the same time, never got it examined. After 6 months of only running and swimming I started lifting again. It's weird because I can bench 2 plates, shrug 2 plates, curl 50's but my shoulder is constantly cracking or popping, and I avoid certain things like the plague like military press or try to stick to decline bench cause It just doesnt feel stable, I also used to do MMA,but now only striking cause I know if someone pulled guard using my right arm my shit would snap. The only permanent injury that I have is some kind of liquid accumulated on my knees from running and marching in a unleveled floor all day in the military, squatting +4pl8s ATG three times a week and doing martial arts five days a week. I didn't do it all at the same time period, but all of those were responsible for fucking my knees up. I've also fucked up the metatarsals of my feet while running like a madman every single day of the week for many kilometers while wearing minimalist shoes before properly adapting to it. My feet are fine nowadays though.

There is no correct way to spot someone while they're squatting. It's by far the most dangerous and retarded practice I see DYEL types mindlessly recommend to unsuspecting novices. If the lifter falls backwards, the spotter is going to get smashed. If the lifter falls forwards, the spotter is going to shove the weight onto the lifters neck and murder them. We've seen two videos of this happening (OP and picrel, Justyn Vicky). Either lift with some kind of safety (like a rack) or get comfortable dumping the weight off your back like an olympic lifter. Two spotters on either side is reasonable though.

I've been pretty lucky with injuries so far. The worst I've ever had was when I tore my trap (or something in that area.) I was doing bb shrugs, and I heard something that sounded like wet paper tearing as I pulled up. It didn't hurt very much, but I was completely unable to pitch my neck for a couple days. In retrospect, it was probably just a random muscle in my neck that went, but that tearing noise sure was loud.
One of the more strange ones I had was some fucked up motion sickness. A long time ago, I fell for the neck curls meme. that's a good start, but abduction/adduction is also important. your hip flexors need much less weight so even just drawing circles in the air with your legs can keep them in decent shape.

it's also a good trick to mog dudes twice your size. basically 99% chance they underestimate how difficult it is if you don't train. this is one of the secrets kickboxers have, their hip flexors are powerful and can do more damage than a meaty leg with poor hip flexors to maneuver it in space.
