only if you do them wrong.
actually i would argue that the static hold is more beneficial for your body than the ab work itself

i would agree
the supposed ab component in leg raises is when hip is at 90-ish degrees or so and THEN u're supposed to bend yo spine and lift legs as high as they go with abs
seems innocuous right?
except u're shifting and spreading apart psoas origin which is holding legs up

good news though, i have solved abs :D

yeah bot, technically speaking psoas is abdominal muscle in your body
that is not the point though right?
everyone and their grandma wants abs which are placed superficially, right under skin
don't worry bot, my abs NEVER been more there, EVER :D and i just started doing these:

and control yer cervical spine - there is no need to crane neck
