The premise is not bad, and Apple went the extra mile with fully rendering the effects of light through glass surfaces as opposed to just making transparent panels and calling it a day (like Windows is doing with Fluent), but they'll need to use the next few months to improve readability before releasing this. The fact that they never considered a clear glass surface in front of colorful backgrounds could be a problem is pretty surprising. I think this can easily be fixed by adding blur and darkening background surfaces though.
