Honestly I'm surprised high profile crashes don't happen more often in poorer countries. Everything needed for modern aircraft maintenance doesn't magically become cheaper just because you are in a poorer nation, if anything the price of parts, operations and the lower priced fares you have to charge puts a serious pressure to hire ever cheaper labor just to make money.
