Didn't know my ex was on aliexpress...
i took a chance at the lenovo gm02 pros from the bundle section for around $3.50 and...wow, impressive.
+very even and balanced sound
+no dropout
+game mode goes for just less than 5 hours
+lightweight
-mic is a joke
-case and buds are kind of big. no level indicator - it's just either has charge (blue) or doesn't have charge (red)
-lacks bass: there's just enough to fill the sound out but it's not going to be there if you like your music to sound colorful
-so many pointless lights
might buy another pair if it ever gets that cheap again

is it possible to repair cheap chink watches?
they just stopped.
>>105576348We need some info anon.
If it's a quarz watch, replace the battery - that's usually not hard, even on cheap watches. If it's not the battery, chances are you're fucked. They aren't electronically very complex, but the traces are so small it's a pain to repair.
If it's mechanical, probably not worth it unless you already know how to. Get a new movement and put that in the case. The movement alone is cheap usually.
>>105576453Interesting, how hard would it be to install a mechanical movement on a quarz watch? The tiny batteries lasts like 3 months.

🔍
>>105576521>how hard would it be to install a mechanical movement on a quarz watchA mechanical movement is basically the whole watch, except for the case, in a self-contained package. It's popular to mix and match different hands and movements and stuff for some hobbyists.
It'll depend on if the case is thick enough to hold the movement and weight and if the hole at the side for the crown fits. honestly at that point, just buy a mechanical watch from aliexpress and be guaranteed it fits.
The batteries on a quartz watch, digital or analog, should last between 1-2 years usually. On the lower end if it has a chronograph functionality or auxiliary systems (mostly for the digital ones), on the higher end if it does not. Consider just getting solid batteries and putting those in. If it still discharges that fast, whatever watch you have has a shit circuit and should be replaced I'd say.

>>105579181>>105576991The anon who posted it here. I'm currently at work, so I'm not 100%, but you're almost right. I think it's an ESP8266, since it's an older project and ESP32 were much more expensive back then. Today, I'd choose an ESP32. I think it's an BME280 or a BMP280, I remember I messed up and ordered the one with fewer features. I don't remember why, but to the left is also a DHT11 temperature sensor, but I think I just wanted to play around and compare the two sensors.
> I can't tell you exactly how that anon got the measurements to displayI can elaborate on that. At first, I had a virtual server on uberspace that ran influxdb and I pushed the data there. On the server, I used a grafana dashboard to monitor the development. I wrote a shortcut on my iPhone that would query the average of the last 10 CO2 readings and display them. Later, I modified the setup and made the ESP into an Apple home device. So, I had temperature and humidity or pressure (?) on the normal home screen, but for some reason, Apple only displays CO2 when it's above a certain threshold that you can choose. It will also show warnings when it gets too high, which is nice.
As for the soldering, I mounted everything on one of these prototype PCBs as you can see, and most connections are on the underside, using wires.
I was browsing Shopee Philippines yesterday and found a store that was selling all kinds of Xiaomi products that are meant for the domestic Chinese market. Not all of it has Xiaomi or the Mi logo stamped on it, and from what I can gather a lot of it used to be called Mijia but they discontinued that name. Anyway I decided to buy the fingernail clippers. 115 pesos shipped from a domestic seller in the Philippines. Ordered yesterday, arrived today. If it actually came from China I would only need to wait one week for it to arrive. Such is the chinkshit game when you live in Asia.
Anyway these are probably the best fingernail clippers I've ever used. They're designed so the clippings don't go flying over the place. Usually they get caught inside so you can just shake them out. It feels slightly more flimsy than the normal chinkshit clippers everyone is accustomed to. Hopefully they will hold up but if not I'd buy these again.

>>105579713Moondrop Edge. It's right at the edge of your budget, but I'm wearing mine as I type this post and use it over a set of Sony WH-1000XM5 since they're lighter and more comfy. The ANC isn't as good, and they're not as punchy on the bass even with the ANC on which is apparently required for them to sound their best, but the low latency gaming mode works well enough that they're my everything headset.
>>105579955I have owned Philippine made products I like. Such as the Panasonic inverter fan that's blowing air on me right now, Samsung SD cards, and JVC Gumy ear buds. But sometimes the situation becomes downright retarded. It's cheaper for me to order a Philippine made Toshiba hard drive from China and import it back into the Philippines. The local market is full of fakes. The sheer volume of garbage and scams allowed on Shopee and Lazada means for a lot of products I purchase based on trust rather than the attractiveness of the price and it's a damn shame I feel like I can trust some overseas chinks not to rip me off more than I can domestic shippers a lot of the time.

>>105581184Yeah that's not looking like one you have to turn.
Some watches you have to pry open, so if you look at it from the side, see if there's some sort of place to do so (you usually need a very thin tool or screwdriver). Picrel shows the process.
I'm not in the super low pricing areas personally, so maybe some other anon can give you better advice (I'd have to make guesses basically).
For the upper limit, a _good_ automatic mechanical watch is around 40-45€. That's about the price of a timex weekender (proper brand, but a quartz watch), except it's an automatic with a reliable movement.
My gut feeling is around the 10-15€ mark for a digital or analog quartz with no additional features (for the analog one, the digital can have those features with little additional cost, I'm thinking aspects like a chronograph, maybe even a date dial).
But I don't doubt if you don't need a chronograph you can get a good one for less.
Watches are very subjective in the end after all, so you should make sure you actually like how it looks.
Hell a genuine casio f91w is something like 15€ and will probably last you a decade or more - if you don't mind how it looks.

I like the knob adjustment and having a usb-a out, but it's louder than I thought it would be. in a quiet environment it's not very usable, it whirrs loudly. the other small fan I bought that's more standard is also loud. not sure if it's the motors or what.
I got it for 10€ from coins page, and while it is loud, it also moves A LOT of air on higher settings (and I like that speed is adjustable with the knob, but it's not 1% increments it's 3 point steps so 1-4-7-10 but it goes up to 150 so it's plenty enough. for being outside or working or cycling I bet it's the bomb. or for making a fire. also has a small flashlight that's works in a pinch, a little stand in one of the clips so it can blow on your face while on the table, neck strap included, and usb out. though it's not very heavy so capacity is probably not that big, advertised 5000mah. charges with 10w, came discharged, and the instruction said to cycle the battery 3 times for best results. think it might have two 18650 cells and I remember when buying them some of them also say to do that, so maybe it's okay.
not sure how much it gives off with the usb-a cause it's gonna be charging a while. I'll probably update later.

I love all the cheap shit though. I love that by picking well you can save big dollars and still get good product.
I don't love them limiting their phones for global market though. domestic Chinese phones are so good.
>>105584843You seem to be genuine anon, so I'll try to explain.
Old 4chan and 2000s internet used a lot of slurs and other "no-no" words. I'd argue that a lot of the use of them however was not targeted or hateful - I know it wasn't ever for me. These days sensibilities have changed such that most people do not think this is acceptable. Fair enough - I don't use them IRL or with friends that aren't from the same internet culture.
The argument for banning the words is that even without negative intent they can still hurt - if for example you are a black guy and everyone keeps saying nigger to you - even if for the sake of argument it's not in a derogatory way - it's still othering. You feel like you are "different" through no fault of your own. Insofar the people who say not to use these words have a point.
At the same time, it can be a socially connecting experience. In my IRL friend circle we have a lot of usage of terms that wouldn't be PC, and everyone gets it equally. One is a nerdy pasty white guy so he gets the occasional statement about that, another is of turkish heritage, so jokes in that way. Another is serbian, so jokes about thievery or a bad taste in cars are common, I'm disabled, so plenty of cripple jokes.
My opinion is that if it's a community that has this specific tone - and that community is opt-in, such as a friend group or a website - then that's fine, you know what you're getting into. Within that community, this usage of words is socially connecting, you're showing you're "one of the group". Just don't bring it outside the group, or be prepared to get strange looks.
Chinkshit, Chang and chinking are not acceptable terms IRL and I wouldn't use them IRL. They are just shorthand for group concepts within this general pretty much.
>>105583130We salute your retardation, anon.
>>105584962>even without negative intent they can still hurt but it's never good to base your self esteem or wellbeing on other people's opinions. and people ARE different, there differences are what makes things interesting. trying to pretend everyone is the same is actually more racist I think, but it would make more sense if you take sexism as example. women are weaker physically and it's a difference and that's okay to acknowledge that, doesn't mean they're less, so someone being another race doesn't mean they're less either. cultural differences, when positive, could be celebrated.
I guess it's a bigger issue when they're negative or just so different it's hard to coexist.
>communityyeah I guess I understand. and I guess if I heard someone say chink irl is assume he wasnt very fond of the Chinese, even though if I would say it I would not mean anything by it. words are words and ultimately being offended by something is completely on the person getting offended, and you can't and shouldn't stifle people's expression for it.
as well as when someone is actually of harmful intent, making them not say some words isn't going to change their thoughts or actions or intent. it would be better with honesty I think because then you can easier tell who's who.
with friends of course it's a lot different, it's nice to have understanding and joke around about "sensitive" things without anyone getting hurt, because after all nothing can hurt you if you don't let it.
thanks for reply, anon
>>105583130for what fucking reason? you literally almost darvin'd yourself, hypoxia is no joke
>>105584843You can be racist without wanting to see all X people hang nor being able to be personable with individual members of those groups. For example, I fucking despise Chang scientists and the damage they've done to the ability to trust peer reviewed papers that I use for work, as well as the majority of them being absolutely insufferable to work with in the labs I've been at, but at the same time, I've worked with a couple who were fine dudes. I just refuse to trust anything that comes out of China's academia and adjacent industries, especially things in the bio-pharma circles such as targeted antibodies for ELISA and other analytical methods, all the more if I don't have a trusted way to verify the results for the first runs. The same applies to all the chinkshit I order where I know I'm taking a risk, and there's certain things I wouldn't trust Chang to do because there's a non-negligible chance he's going to fuck me over in ways that are beyond my ability to discern and aren't worth the potential damages, such as cookware. However, that doesn't preclude me from buying cheap chinkshit for things that I don't view as important, as well as spending on some of the more trusted chinkshit brands like Moondrop, Wurkkos, and FlyDigi for example.
There's different levels of racism, but you're on 4chan, and while thankfully the Stormfront larpers largely keep themselves to /pol/ these days, especially since so many of them have gotten laughed out of the rest of the site for simping for Russia, this is a natural congregation point for people who want to be honest in ways that are unacceptable on social media.
>>105585104but is that racism really? it's just being rightfully upset by an immortal practice. most corporations and the whole medical industry is guilty of fabricating research and taking bribes to make a product seem good.
maybe there is a line that separates racism with just taking potentials and statistical probabilities based on known information, no matter how nice of a person you are, at some point you have to take things that happen often into account, I guess what makes a difference there is understanding that it's a a possibility like many other and not a thing to generalize an entire race of people over.
complicated.
I also remember that old post about guy talking about the metal industry and how you shouldn't learn mandarin and shouldn't work with them cause it's a pain.

>>105585068>women are weaker physically and it's a difference and that's okay to acknowledge that, doesn't mean they're lessA way I've seen it explained that made sense to me is that as a white dude I rarely get attacks _because_ I'm a white dude.
If I fuck up people call me retard, or faggot or shit like that. As a woman, you very much get attacked due to you being a woman, the things you get called are "whore" "slut" "bimbo".
It feels different and more targeted I suppose. I can stop being dumb, but a woman can't really stop being a woman.
And it's good to keep in mind that people are different and react to stimuli differently. As I said I'm disabled and I don't mind some disability jokes here and there directed at me. But what I don't mind might break others - I've met people who also were disabled for whom this was a very very sensitive subject.
The TL;DR if you legitimately have autism is try to limit the harm others get from your speech - unless they opt in, at which point it's their decision. Better to air on the side of caution IRL and with strangers, then with people you are closer to imitate the "heat" of the group. If they make non PC jokes, you're free to do the same. If not, better not to be the one who starts, any autism or asbergers makes the chance of you being wrong in your assessment of the group too high for comfort.
>>105585157>Is instantly distrusting something because you see a Chinese name attached to it racism?Yea, it is. Some people like to try and make it sound more acceptable by calling it racial awareness and other made up terms, but fundamentally, it's racism and making assumptions based on a stereotype. The big thing that most people who're bashing racists don't like to address is that while you have plenty of people who're incapable of changing their mind about an individual member of X group, substantially more are decent people who let past experiences with a group set their initial expectations for interactions but aren't so up their own ass that they're incapable of recognizing when an individual is behaving outside of those expectations. The classic example is the black man vs nigger distinction.

>>105585544>yeah but getting offended and upset by it is a choiceThat's a bit of a philosophical question of how many of our choices are truly choices. Does it really count a choice if you can't choose the alternative? Surely there's some people who get offended and could choose not to - but there's also those for whom it is involuntary. It's rarely as simple as "simply don't let it get to you" in the real world, insecurities, past experiences, socialization in childhood, there's so many aspects that are pretty hard to change eventually.
But I do understand what you are saying and yeah it'd be probably be a better world if people just gave less of a shit. The reason I (and you) care less is due to out socialization, so it's not like most people couldn't do it if we set up systems for it.

>>105585608well it sort of is and also isn't.
being offended by something means you value their opinion as something more than it is, and being too sensitive about that opinions impact on you.
it being involuntary means you're just not of a healthy mindset and don't have your impulses and mental state figured out. though there are few who truly do.
it's not about not caring it's about taking things at value. and letting your past experiences of upbringing means you haven't taken it under your own control yet.
having insecurities, getting hurt, just tells you where you need to direct your effort to improve your mental state. it's helpful, when you think about it. an opportunity.
there is no growth without adversity, and if you remove all adversity there will be only stagnation.

hopefully my shoes will arrive tomorrow
I bought hobibear barefoot shoes the other day and have been walking in them for the past few days.
The main thing I've noticed is that the soles are thin and you can feel the pavement as well as sticks or anything else on it too which makes it a bit mentally stimulating when I am on my incel walks.
If I've been walking for more than 30 minutes I can feel it in my soles, calves and thighs.
I didn't have to relearn to walk but I don't wear shoes inside my house unlike an American.

I almost completely stopped using slurs since, and I think it's kind of cringe people who don't think of themselves as racist still use them here, just to fit in with the lingo.
A lot of genuinely hateful people seem to have tried taking over this site since 2015, and imo the world would be better off without them.

and a new phone phone cooler
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EvlKc8q
which is a lot lighter and thinner than my old one, and more powerful.
compared to the BING WANG, it has very very thin radiator fins, it's a lot smaller, and the cooling area is small, but it's light and it's 9-12w depending on the setting, and RGB can be turned off. magnets in it are also weaker.
by comparison BING WANG is big, bulky, heavy, has a fuck off heatsink with a large area, but is only 7w and changing the settings only modulates fan speed so it's always 7w, and you can't turn off the RGB.
I did some throttling tests and in a 24c room the new fan on max speed managed to stabilise at around 37c, and old one was on a 40+ trend and I forgot about the test so it stopped.
all in all, it's good.

made a lot better than I expected for 10-15€, unfortunately should have got one size bigger, though I used the measuring thing from each seller, and my toes don't hit the front, but the downwards curve of the shoe hits the upwards curve of the big toe when I walk so it adds some pressure.
green ones I'm not going to re order, because the sole is a bit curved upwards on the front, and because the little cloth strap design things on the front, actually rib uncomfortably on the inside, so it's not for me. shame, I liked the colour combo and design for these.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EzKR3GS
white ones are very light and breathable, comfortable, sole is the straightest of them all and pretty wide box, I like them, will order one size larger. they also have a little reinforced insert on the front not to rub through with the finger nails, about a thumbs width of it. laces are flat and strong.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EulHcF8
the dark ones are slightly different nose shape and slightly narrower, so they were more comfortable with the sizing issue, but still will have to replace for a larger one.
they are a lot more padded and warmer, reinforced part is a lot smaller but is there. laces are round and have a very very slight stretch to them. I really like the design of these.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJzT9Lu
the soles on the green and the white seem the same, and the dark ones are a bit different pattern and slightly stiffer rubber, but all of them are really flexible still.
iits pretty thin so on the rubber colored ones you can see the light shine through.
insoles all seem similar and a bit of foam.
I can recommend the white and dark type ones, even if they only last a season I think it's worth it, though I think they would last longer.
I'm going to send them all back and order larger ones, as well as another faux leather pair for rainy weather that got cancelled due to logistics issues.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJF1p9M
>>105593022another pair that got cancelled was this, though I don't think I'll need them but they were the lightest of them all and the cheapest (7euro)
https://a.aliexpress.com/_Ewd7VTC
also a question to anons. basically pic related is around how much space I have between the big toe and the edge of the shoe, so only issue is the big toe really, and when I "grab" the floor with the toes and curve it more flat-downward, it's alright, but when my foot is relaxed, my toe is a bit upward pointed and it rubs on the upper front part of the shoe where it curves downwards to meet the sole.
do you think one size up will be enough? around 0.5cm difference, or do I go two sizes up? feels like it would be too much to go 2 sizes up.
I measured my foot like they have a guide for and it came up to 28.5cm, so I went with that on their size table.

phone form factor can radiate maybe 4watts of heat, all the gacha stuff, shooters, almost everything is either slightly higher draw than that or significantly higher, especially if you want higher settings.
you really can't play games without throttling, and throttling sucks.
though thermal mass of the battery and screen can let you play 15-20 minutes till that point, but I wouldn't consider that actually gaming.
also some emulators, like the switch, can really push the hardware. I think on my F6 botw pushes it to 10watt.
>>105593448genshin was like the benchmark game a few years back for phone temp monitoring and performance. a lot of coomer gacha is 3d nowadays.
then there's like mobile esports games which'll cook your phone if it's not up to snuff
>>105594014phone performance has gone up so much in the past decade that the passively cooled format is really not cutting it anymore. phones need to start putting active cooling and more cooling minded features like thermally conductive backs and cases that can have some heatsink elements.
even for things like shooting video. 4k will heat up your phone like a motherufcker.
fast charging too. and wireless? that's just murder. that's why wireless charging is still like 25w and wired is 120.
you can't do fast wireless charging with passive cooling.
I need a pcie wifi card for my shitbox upstairs. Any reason I shouldn't grab one from aliexpress instead of getting one local (tp-link and such)? Is there some obvious downside that I'm ignorant of? Ali has a bunch of options around 5-10 euro, while local shops pretty much start at 30.

Bought a pair of pic related because i saw a couple of videos recommending them for le minimalism barefoot meme.
All the shoes i buy are EU size 43, i am very picky because my right foot is more like size 42, so i didn't expect these to fit.
These fit like size 42 even though the insole says size 43.
The build quality is very chink - glue marks are very obvious, some material edges have folds, the outsole is goopy at the tip, but overall it doesn't feel like they are falling apart.
The insole cant be removed, but it isn't bad. i was expecting it to be flat, but its a little raised on the heel. The toebox is no bigger than any generic shoes you'd find. The outsole is very rubbery and flexible which i like (i had shoes with hard outsole and they snapped in half, letting water in). The laces are positioned forward which seems less secure, but the thin material wraps around my foot so my heel isn't slipping out (by far the biggest issue i have when looking for shoes).
I'm gonna order another pair that is a size bigger. These have potential, if i buy another for 14 eur and they fit well, i'm better off than buying 30 eur shoes locally that probably won't last more than a year.

Anybody got a rec for a website for protected 18650 cells, shipping to the US?
Looking for standard button top cells with overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent protection. Total capacity or max instantaneous current isn’t too important for my application (mostly outdoor ESP32 projects). Just want to make sure I dont burn my apartment down when I take them in to recharge. My ideal would be something like qty 8, 1500-2200 mAh genuine Sanyo cells for a couple bucks each, but I don’t know if I’m being too picky or not. I’m completely uninterested in anything like a SuperUltraMegaHouseFire unprotected cell with “9000” mAh capacity.

I'm looking at their newer products and so far it seems that it is RGB stuff but at least the cables can be detached now.
Are their "gaming" stuff with RGB slapped on as good or better than the k669 I used to use?
>>105603861>Any poorfags use Fifine microphones?Yes, but I'm a shit person to ask because I don't get all the stuff that audiophiles say makes a microphone good. I can usually hear the difference side by side, but absent that comparison I'm clueless and anything remotely okay will be good enough for me.
Better hope some other anon has good suggestions, but personally I'd rather get a worse microphone than one with RGB, even if that's cheaper. The idea of a glowing microphone on my desk would drive me mad.

It's nothing fancy, but it's good enough quality that I can just have it on my desk while in a voice chat with friends and it would be good enough for a casual voiceover.
If I planned on using it in career related areas, I'd get a better one, but it's certainly good enough that if I were to record something and put it online, noone would complain about audio quality (though noone would notice it as particularly outstanding either).

>>105609304Not Chinkshit, but for amateurish scribbling, I recommend the Mitsubishi pencil company's UniBall air series. They are absolutely phenomenal for both writing and drawing, last ages, don't break easily, and aren't too pricey. The only issue is that they don't write as reliably onto slick surfaces as even a basic ballpoint, but that's not a problem for artwork.
Also, do not get hung up on tools. Some of the best art in the world was made by cavemen drawing on rock walls with sticks dipped in dirt. Mechanical pencil, ball-point pen, and any convenient bit of paper is plenty good enough for developing skills. Cheapness, convenience, and durability are your main considerations, because actually carrying them in your pocket and drawing frequently will be way more important than getting slick lines and sharp contrast.

>>105613717I know it's annoying, but stay away from combination locks.
Your goal for the lock is to just be enough that someone can't be opportunistic - for wire or steel reinforced zipties you need a multitool or snips. For a combination lock all you need is to know how to decode them - which even a retard like me knows. No tools required.
So even if carrying a key is annoying, it's worth it.
Then again, if you're in a relatively safe place and it's visible, chances are the thief won't want to spend the time decoding.
I have a similar lock like yours (picrel) which I use to secure my helmet and backpack to a post when I'm swimming in the local lake. Just enough security that someone can't simply take my backpack with him, but I'm under no illusion that if someone wanted this would hold them back a minute max.
For you bike, just carry a ulock or chain lock wrapped around the seatpost. That way it'll actually protect it since it's far more valuable. And no combo locks for those.

i'm not a bikefag but isn't combination better or just as good as a key?
how many key teeth variants / complexity would any lock ever have? not much i assume, which means it's as likely for an opportunistic bike thief to carry keys or pick the lock as it is for them to fiddle with a combination for minutes on end.

>>105615470combo licks are easier to break. physically. it's a moot point when talking about non certified locks. an electric screwdriver with a drill bit can open those.
for everything else there are bolt cutters and angle grinders. if you want your bike not to be gone you have to get a thick ulock that's certified
and it needs to be well weather sealed or it will rust and you'll have to hire a guy to cut it off
so just buy a cheap used beater bike that no one will want to steal. make it looks worse.
if i add 10 small items to an order is there a worse chance of poor receive, should i just make multiple small orders of 2-3 items
>>105616093I've never seen any difference. It's all shipped individually to the distribution centre, then thrown into a big bag anyway. If anything, being consolidated into a big bag makes it less likely to go missing in the post. If some items are delayed, they usually just ship them separately rather than waiting.
If you're worried, video yourself opening each bag and confirming the items are in there, so you can make a claim if there is anything missing. If you have reasonable proof, the site always sides with the buyer. Even if your evidence is shit, they will usually side with you anyway unless you have a history of dubious claims (this may be different if you are from a region with a lot of scammers; the Chinese are not shy about profiling).

Just streaming + up to PS1 games on the device with a decently big (5") screen -- Trimui Smart Pro
Streaming + up to PS2 + Android games + 5.5" AMOLED (you want this) screen -- Anbernic RG556
