what dont you like about modern xfce?

i3 + dmenu is pretty sick btw. takes about ~15min to configure i3status.

arch is amazing when you get it running

installation can be a bit counterintuitive because you may have to edit config files and such to get your desktop environment working. but that's just Arch being Arch and not holding your hand

Artix Xfce 64 is supposed to be a complete system from install. I am not talking about customizing it, just trying to use Epiphany browser to open the wiki shut it all down.

no it's not. the Calamares installer on Artix is known to break often because 1: Calamares is shit and 2: it's not what you should be using to install it. use the CLI install like you would on Arch, it's much better that way
