right now I have one MSI (hence my previous post) and 2 Lenovos. for a gaming laptop I'd probably get a Lenovo Legion if I were to buy one now
but anyway, about MSI:

>ANSI keyboard layout where my country uses ISO exclusively, leading so some weirdly placed keys and the horrible half-height Enter key
and worst of all:
>a lot of MSI laptops have a design flaw where one of the wireless antennas is placed right behind the dGPU. if you don't know what this means, basically whenever the dGPU is in use, wifi signal will completely drop. the only way to resolve this is to open up the machine and physically relocate the antenna yourself, which I ended up doing on mine. neither of the two antennas are located in the screen assembly btw, one of them is at the top of the bottom case behind the dGPU, and the other one is at the bottom somewhere near the trackpad
