Whilst Liquid Ass makes the rounds among social media, being flamed by virtually everyone except for Apple zealots, let's talk about Google's attempt of making their UI look like its in the 21st century!

>no transparency (based)
>colors are fullly customizable
>looks actually good
>readable with proper contrast
>easy for develop*rs to implement

I think there's a clear winner here folks.

Rounding on widgets should be very conversative, imo. Anything more than that and you end up with some Fisher Price shit,

I don't dislike it, but I still prefer the good old material design v1 from Android LoliPop

I bought a Pixel 9 Pro XL just a few days before they announced that AOSP source won't be public any more and now this absolute gay/women UI slop.
Fuck this shit

If you're gonna force me to live in a dystopian hellhole at least give me some kind of oppressive brutalist design so I can feel the part instead of this pastel colored baby toy design bullshit.

What does this mean?
>some kind of oppressive brutalist design
But that would be Windows 9x and everyone on niche tech boards like this have a nostalgia for it and like it.

I like it. Is the rounding parameterized? Letting user/dev customize corner shape would go a long way toward making this sort of thing feel very personal.

I'm an Android user... but no, this attempt by Google is GAY AS FUCK and even if Apple's take on the "Aero Glass" look lacks the polish to make it as good as it once was, at least they're bringing that cool aesthetic back, this is just FLAT SHIT again, it sucks.

I hate it all and when I take over the world I'm going to put UX designers into extermination camps. Everything after Holo was a mistake. Get in the showers, Samir
