That's an easy task because bureaucrats don't do anything productive. Notepad and calculator would suffice.

My colleagues told me horror stories about the incompetence of the Danish state's IT department.
I also once got access to a security camera's web feed in the local municipality, but they fixed it recently and also switched to Ubuntu.

And then, after half-a-decade of trying to make it work, they'll come crawling back to Microsoft.
Seen it before, will see it again.

How do we have so many redundant government ministries in this shitty excuse of a country?

What the actual fuck is the difference between "Ministry for Digital Affairs" and the "Ministry of Digital Government and Gender Equality", not to be confused with the "Agency for Digital Government"?

And even with all these Data handlers updating our public data handling, all our data are still all just kept in terabytes large XML files on some decades old server running Windows 95.

>A government ministry in Denmark
>LibreOffice

This reminds me about Germany and how they back peddled.
These government workers are fucken retarded and need to be beaten with iron rods and over 99% of them need to be fired. They are terminally retarded and will bitch about everything.

I bet these retards will save to docx and get confused why the linux office is so bad.
Instead you know saving to ODT.

>Where your every keystroke is sent to amazon.com
Firstly it was never "every keystroke", the Unity DE had a search bar which on top of indexing user files also searched Amazon. Literally just what Microsoft and Apple does with their own spotlight/search functions but with Google Search or Bing.
Secondly, this is something you brought up from over a decade ago that is irrelevant now, and even back then after users made a big deal out of it it was aptly removed and every just forgot about it.
You're literally operating on misinformation from 10+ years ago kek.

Modern western countries are run by the managerial class and the managerial class has strong class consciousness so they're always working on expanding work opportunities for each other.

This. Replacing Windows is easy from a perfectly technical view, it's the non-technical parts that will bite you in the ass.
Office alone is pretty much irreplaceable.

NT 4.0 is a valuable skill. If you can administer NT 4.0 at an enterprise level, you're 95% of the way to being a Windows Server 2025 greybeard.

this but unironically.
you think the office karen or the 55 year old boomer is going to adapt to libreoffice or linux at all? no.
in one year, the next headline will be "denmark goes back to windows". same as with germany. same as with every other country who tried.
we unironically can not compete.

it's over.

99% of workers who rely on Office and Windows will do the same shit with LibreOffice and whatever Linux distro they choose. They aren't exactly getting the most out of anything.
I've seen it happen in government shit first hand: boomers will just click the icon they've been told that opens the program they need and do everything the same way. They're not the ones who install/update programs or anything.
