what does it break? jimmy's jeet-coded qt3 app? every app most people use works 100% fine on wayland, if you have something that breaks just stay on x. but for most things, wayland just works better.

If you aren't gaming there's no reason to use Linux, just use macOS at that point for a better DE and better hardware and all the useful productivity software. Linux's ONLY purpose on desktop computers is gaming.
